Below is a link to a free ebook on the official hearings that took place before the the National Firearms Act of 1934.   Great resource for study of one of the major gun control laws that took place in United States.

Brief Summary of the NFA:  National Firearms Act of 1934 imposes a mandatory registration of all machine guns, short barrel rifles, short barrel shotguns and silencers in the United States.  Citizens must pay a $200 tax stamp to own these firearms.

National Firearms Act: Hearings, Seventy-third Congress

I will be posting relevant information from the Hearing as I read through it.
