Khashoggi was to disclose Saudi use of chemical weapons in Yemen: source
http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/10/28/578383/Khashoggi-chemical-weapons-yemen

'Dissident Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, who was recently murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, was about to disclose details of Saudi Arabia’s use of banned chemical weapons in its imposed war on Yemen days before he was killed, a report says.

British Sunday Express weekly reported that a close friend of Khashoggi, speaking on condition of anonymity, had told it on Saturday night that he was about to obtain “documentary evidence” from his murdered friend proving claims that Riyadh had used banned chemical weapons in its brutal aggression against Yemen. Spam_A Spam_B “I met him a week before his death. He was unhappy and he was worried,” the Middle Eastern academic told the British weekly, adding that he asked Khashoggi why he was unhappy and worried.

Quote
“He didn't really want to reply, but eventually he told me he was getting proof that Saudi Arabia had used chemical weapons. He said he hoped he be getting documentary evidence,” Khashoggi’s fried further revealed, adding, “All I can tell you is that the next thing I heard, he was missing.”

Leading a coalition of its allies, including the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Sudan, Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen in March 2015 in an attempt to reinstall a former Riyadh-friendly regime, which had resigned amid popular discontent, and to crush the country’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement, which has played a significant role, alongside the Yemeni army, in defending the nation and has been running state affairs in the absence of an effective government.

The aggression initially consisted of a bombing campaign, but was later coupled with a naval blockade and the deployment of ground forces to Yemen. More than 15,000 Yemenis have so far been killed and thousands more wounded.'

EU may decide to halt Saudi arms sales over Khashoggi murder, Merkel & Macron agree in Istanbul
http://www.rt.com/news/442445-europe-arms-sales-saudi-merkel/

The slaying of journalist Jamal Khashoggi may have far-reaching consequences for Saudi Arabia, French and German leaders have agreed; these include a possible weapon sales ban and other sanctions at European Union level.

The EU will make a joint decision on how to punish Saudi Arabia for the gruesome murder of the journalist, Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday, speaking in Istanbul after the Russia-Turkey-France-Germany summit on Syria. The decision, including a potential weapons sales ban, will depend on the results of the murder investigation, she added.

"We agreed that when we have more clarity, and we are counting on that, when we know who was behind this then we will try to find a unified European solution or reaction from all member states of the European Union to show that we negotiate on the basis of common values," Merkel said. Spam_A Spam_B A similar statement was made by French President Emmanuel Macron, who insisted that any punitive measures against Riyadh must be taken only after the investigation into Khashoggi’s murder is complete.

“It’s crucial that the killing of the journalist is fully investigated, that the perpetrators are found,” Macron said. “Potential sanctions should correspond with the investigation and be proportionate.”

Host of the talks, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, warned that Ankara was ready to spearhead the investigation into the Khashoggi affair, if Riyadh tried to stall it for any reason.'

“The crime was committed in Istanbul. If [Saudi Arabia] won’t continue this process, Turkey’s judiciary is ready to begin it,” Erdogan warned, adding that the country’s security and intelligence agencies have been actively digging into the scandalous incident.'

Saudi Death Squad Controlled by Crown Prince

Saudi Death Squad Controlled by Crown Prince

Reportedly a Saudi tiger hit squad was formed in 2017 by crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) to covertly assassinate regime critics internally and abroad.

Its existence is well known to US and other Western intelligence - comprised of dozens of highly skilled intelligence, security, and military operatives - loyal to MBS.

Methods include abductions and murders the way Khashoggi was eliminated; staged car, plane, or helicopter crashes; fires claiming targeted individuals, poisonings, or administering lethal injections during routine hospital or other medical visits.

Key MBS loyalists from his personal security detail reportedly run hit squad operations - taking orders either from him directly or someone relaying his instructions.

Jamal Khashoggi wasn’t the first kingdom critic targeted for elimination to silence them. According to Britain’s Express, he was killed to prevent his knowledge about kingdom use of chemical weapons, saying:

An unnamed source close to Khashoggi said “he was about to obtain ‘documentary evidence,’ proving that Saudi Arabia had used chemical weapons in” Yemen, adding:

“I met him a week before his death. He was unhappy and he was worried. When I asked him why he was worried, he didn’t really want to reply, but eventually he told me he was getting proof that Saudi Arabia had used chemical weapons.”

“He said he hoped he’d be getting documentary evidence. All I can tell you is that the next thing I heard, he was missing.”

Separately, Britain’s Express said the UK’s “General Intelligence Directorate revealed orders by a ‘member of the royal circle’ to abduct (Khashoggi) and take him back to Saudi Arabia.”

A UK intelligence source told the Express the following:

“We were initially made aware that something was going in the first week of September, around three weeks before Mr Khashoggi walked into the consulate on October 2, though it took more time for other details to emerge.”

“These details included primary orders to capture Mr Khashoggi and bring him back to Saudi Arabia for questioning. However, the door seemed to be left open for alternative remedies to what was seen as a big problem.”

“We know the orders came from a member of the royal circle but have no direct information” linking it directly to MBS. “Whether this meant he was not the original issuer we cannot say.”

“On October 1 (the day before Khashogg’s abduction and murder), we became aware of the movement of a group, which included members of Ri'āsat Al-Istikhbārāt Al-‘Āmah (GID hit squad) to Istanbul, and it was pretty clear what their aim was.”

“Through channels, we warned (Riyadh) that this was not a good idea. Subsequent events show that our warning was ignored.”

Earlier I explained that US-supported terrorists used sarin, chlorine, and other banned toxins numerous times through years of war - Damascus most often wrongfully blamed.

Barrels containing banned chemicals were found marked “Made in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).” Protective masks were found. So were drugs used when inhaling chemicals. Spam_A Spam_B Turkey was discovered shipping toxic sarin gas cross-border into Syria. Perhaps Jordan and Israel supplied CWs. Both countries support ISIS and other terrorist groups.

Pentagon contractors trained terrorists in CW use. A UN commission said US-supported terrorists had (and most certainly still have) deadly toxins in their possession.

Syrian forces earlier found munitions filled with toxic agents – produced by the US Federal Laboratories and NonLethal Technologies, as well as Britain’s Cherming Defense.

Western media suppress what’s vital to report, repeating the official narrative, blaming victims of aggression for US-dominated NATO’s high crimes, along with Israel’s, the Saudis, and terrorists they support.

Turkish authorities were reportedly dissatisfied with the Saudi chief prosecutor’s unwillingness to cooperate fully in supplying Ankara with information about Khashoggi, including the whereabouts of his allegedly dismembered body and name of a “local collaborator” who disposed of his remains.

Turkish investigators want permission to conduct another forensic search of the Istanbul consul-general’s residence.

Erdogan promised to reveal more information about the murder, including who ordered it.

It’s unclear precisely what he knows and how much he intends to make public.

The US, other Western nations, Turkey, Israel, and other countries notoriously eliminate targeted individuals.

US assassinations of foreign leaders and other officials are longstanding. Obama had a secret kill list - by drones, death squads, or other means, appointing himself judge, jury and executioner.

Then-CIA director John Brennan carried out these operations on the phony pretext of combating terrorist groups the US created and controls.

It’s unclear how many individuals were eliminated. US special forces operate in 150 or more countries. CIA elements operate everywhere.

Langley and the Pentagon could likely teach the Saudis and thing or two about eliminating targeted individuals discretely.

Trump, Riyadh worked hand in glove in Khashoggi murder: Saudi dissident
http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/10/31/578624/Saudi-Arabia-Donald-Trump-Jamal-Khashoggi

'An exiled Saudi physicist and political dissident says US President Donald Trump had been informed by intelligence agencies of a plot to kill journalist Jamal Khashoggi and colluded with Riyadh in his murder.

Mohammad al-Massari made the remarks in a program hosted by former British Labor MP George Galloway, footage of which was posted online.

He revealed Trump’s involvement in Khashoggi’s murder, citing leaks from telephone conversations between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as MBS, and exiled Palestinian politician Mohammed Dahlan obtained by a high-ranking Saudi official.

Massari said that Trump has been "lying” in whatever comment he has made regarding Khashoggi’s case as a copy of the Turkish-intercepted video was sent to him shortly after the critic was murdered. Spam_A Spam_B Trump had been receiving daily intelligence briefings by the CIA and FBI since late 2017 about a plot to kill or abduct Khashoggi, but he never warned the journalist about what was to happen, he added.

“And there is also a story from high up in the Saudi ranks that MBS insists that his (Khashoggi’s) head should be cut and delivered to him so he can enjoy his revenge,” he said.

Massari also revealed back-up plans, including one announced by the Saudi Interpol, in which Khashoggi’s body double would depart Turkey for Lebanon and get apprehended there as an international fraudster.

He, however, stressed that the scenario went wrong when Khashoggi’s fiancée, Hatice Cengiz, phoned her uncle, who is an adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and took police to the scene.'

Netanyahu admits Israel behind Europe’s row with Iran over murder plot allegations
http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/11/02/578783/Israel-Netanyahu-Iran-row-Europe-Denmark

'Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that Israel is behind what Iran calls "false flags" in Europe where Tehran has been accused of assassination plans.

Netanyahu on Thursday claimed that Israel had recently revealed a number of “Iranian plots to carry out attacks on European soil.”

Speaking to reporters after talks with his Bulgarian counterpart in Sofia, Netanyahu said he had “warned” Europe of what he called “possible Iranian attacks on its soil.”

He did not provide further details, but his comments could be a sign that the accusations recently raised by Belgium and Denmark against Iran had been triggered by the Israeli regime. Spam_A Spam_B Back in June, Belgian authorities said that Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi had been arrested over suspicions of plotting a bomb attack on a meeting of the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO). Germany later extradited the Iranian diplomat to Belgium.

Later on October 30, Danish intelligence chief Finn Borch Andersen claimed that an Iranian intelligence service had tried to carry out a plot to assassinate an Iranian Arab opposition figure on Denmark's soil.

Swedish security police also said a Norwegian citizen of Iranian descent had been arrested on October 21 in connection with the alleged plot and extradited to Denmark.

Israeli media later revealed that the Israeli spy agency Mossad had provided Denmark with “intelligence” concerning the alleged plot by Tehran.'

Saudi investigators sent to 'help' Turkey look into Khashoggi consulate murder 'were REMOVING evidence instead'

'Saudi investigators sent to help Turkey look into the Jamal Khashoggi consulate murder were removing evidence instead, it has been claimed.

A team of 11 Saudi officials arrived in the country nine days after Khashoggi was killed to take part in a joint Turkish-Saudi probe into the slaying, according to a senior Turkish official.

They included experts on chemicals and toxicology who were reportedly charged with obfuscating the evidence, the official said, confirming a report in Turkey's Sabah newspaper.

Turkey believes that two members of the team came to the country 'for the sole purpose of covering up evidence' before Turkish police were allowed to search the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, where Khashoggi was killed on October 2 after he entered to collect a document he needed to marry his Turkish fiancee.

Sabah identified the two men as Ahmed Abdulaziz al-Jonabi and Khaled Yahya al-Zahrani.

The official said the fact that a clean-up team was dispatched suggests that Khashoggi's killing 'was within the knowledge of top Saudi officials.'

Istanbul's chief prosecutor, who is leading the investigation, announced last week that Khashoggi, who lived in exile in the United States, was strangled immediately after he entered the consulate as part of a premeditated killing and that his body was dismembered before being removed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an op-ed in the Washington Post last week that the order to kill Khashoggi came from the highest level of the Saudi government and added that the international community had the responsibility to 'reveal the puppet masters' behind the slaying.

Turkey is seeking the extradition of 18 suspects who were detained in Saudi Arabia so they can be put on trial in Turkey.'

Saudi dissident journalist dies after torture at Al Saud regime's prison

A journalist and writer in Saudi Arabia has reportedly died as a result of torture while in the regime custody as the conservative oil-rich kingdom grapples with an international crisis over the murder of prominent dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The rights group Prisoners of Conscience, which is an independent non-governmental organization seeking to promote human rights in Saudi Arabia, announced in a post on its official Twitter page that Turki bin Abdulaziz al-Jasser lost his life due to severe torture he was subjected to during criminal investigations at a prison.

? Authorities believe that the writer Turki bin Abdul Aziz al-Jasser (TurkialjasserJ) is the Twitterati KASHKOOL (coluche_ar), private #Saudi security sources asserted to us. The source confirmed what ALQST tweeted about using personal information in Jasser's PC to blackmail him pic.twitter.com/qkNmZe0e2w

— Prisoners of Conscie (@m3takl_en) March 18, 2018

Saudi authorities claimed that Jasser administered the Twitter account Kashkool or @calouche_ar, which disclosed rights violations committed by high-ranking officials and members of the royal family.

Several sources have reported that Saudi authorities discovered Jasser's real identity after a team of the kingdom's cyber spies infiltrated the Twitter headquarters in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, as part of the so-called Saudi online army founded by Saud al-Qahtani, the former chief adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.'

'Take this bag off my head' were Jamal Khashoggi's last words, Turkish investigative journalist says
https://www.rt.com/news/443695-khashoggi-last-words-recording/

'Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi spent his last moments begging for a plastic bag to be removed from his head, according to a Turkish investigative journalist. The killing lasted for about seven minutes.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Nazif Karaman, the head of investigations at the Turkish Daily Sabah newspaper, cited audio recordings of Khashoggi's final words as he was being murdered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

I'm suffocating... Take this bag off my head, I'm claustrophobic.

According to Karaman, the recordings indicate that it took the killers about seven minutes to choke Khashoggi to death with a plastic bag placed over his head.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier said audio of Khashoggi's gruesome murder had been shared with Saudi Arabia, the US, the UK, France and Germany. Ankara has claimed to have the recording since the beginning of October, when the killing took place.

Khashoggi, a prominent critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to do some paperwork, and never came back out. Almost immediately after his disappearance, the Turkish authorities said the journalist had been murdered inside the consulate, alleging that his assassination was sanctioned at the highest levels of the Saudi government. Riyadh, meanwhile, kept silent until the incident later grew into an international scandal.

With pressure mounting on the Saudi royal family to come up with a plausible explanation, Riyadh said that Khashoggi was killed in an impromptu fistfight only to admit several days later that he had been murdered. As speculation swirled that the killing might have been ordered by the Crown Prince, Riyadh denied that the Saudi heir apparent knew anything about it, instead blaming a “rogue” operation.

Meanwhile, the search for Khashoggi’s body is still underway, as chilling reports over the gruesome manner of his death keep emerging in the media. On Saturday, Turkish newspaper the Daily Sabah reported that forensics found traces of acid in the drains of the Saudi consulate, which prompted the investigators to suggest that Khashoggi’s remains might have been dissolved in acid and poured down the drains. Earlier reports alleged that the journalist had been dismembered with a bone saw while still breathing.'

Former criminal, agent of Communist Secret police? and later Freemason and good painter Dragan Malesevic " Tapi" on similar way killed by police station in Belgrade.

Obituary in Serbian reputable newspapers for D. Malesevic by Supreme Council, Scottish Rite of Yugoslavia ( Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ).

Tapi was arrested in 2002 under suspicion that he was involved in the murder of police general B. Buha.
"Informative conversation" turned into torture ( bag on the head etc. )
Apparently, Tapi begged the cops to stop because he had high blood pressure and a sick heart.
The police continued the torture of Tapi ended up dead.

None of the policemen were invited to speak about.

New recording links Saudi crown prince to Khashoggi assassination: Report
http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/11/13/579876/Saudi-Arabia-bin-Salman-Jamal-Khashoggi

'A phone call recording collected by the Turkish intelligence links the brutal murder of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi to the kingdom’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, The New York Times reports.

Citing three people familiar with the recording, The New York Times on Monday reported a secret phone conversation made by Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, a member of a 15-man Saudi hit squad that killed Khashoggi, to a superior believed to be bin Salman’s aide.

In the phone call, which came shortly after Khashoggi’s murder on October 2 inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Mutreb instructed his superior in Arabic to “tell your boss” that the murder mission had been accomplished.

American intelligence officials said “your boss” was a reference to MbS. Spam_A Spam_B Meanwhile, Turkish intelligence officers told American officials they believe that Mutreb was speaking to bin Salman’s aide. Mutreb himself is a security officer who frequently traveled with the Saudi crown prince.

According to the report, intelligence officials view the recording as “some of the strongest evidence” linking bin Salman to the murder of his outspoken critic.

A phone call like that is about as close to a smoking gun as you are going to get,” said former CIA officer Bruce O. Riedel. “It is pretty incriminating evidence.”

Saudi officials, however, denied that the crown prince “had any knowledge whatsoever” of Khashoggi’s killing.

Riyadh has acknowledged that he had been killed in a “premeditated” operation, after weeks of denials of any involvement in Khashoggi’s disappearance.'

CIA ‘concludes with high confidence’ Saudi Crown Prince ordered Khashoggi murder – reports
http://www.rt.com/usa/444216-cia-saudi-khashoggi-assassination/

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey last month, the CIA has concluded, according to anonymous sources who spoke with the Washington Post and Reuters.

The US foreign espionage agency assessed with “high confidence” that the prince was behind the death of the Post columnist, the newspaper reported on Friday evening, citing “people familiar with the matter.” Reuters later cited its own source as saying that the spy agency “had briefed other parts of the US government on its assessment,” which contradicts the official position maintained by both Riyadh and Washington thus far.

Saudi Arabia initially denied that Khashoggi had been killed inside the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul, where he was last seen on October 2. Eventually, however, Riyadh admitted the journalist had died on the premises, blaming it on a “fight” with officials sent to take him home. Khashoggi was living in self-imposed exile in Turkey, having become an outspoken critic of the crown prince. Spam_A Spam_B Writing in the Post last month, Turkish president Recep Erdogan claimed that the order to have the dissident journalist killed “came from the highest levels of the Saudi government,” not naming the crown prince but seemingly implicating him.

Among the evidence examined by the CIA was an alleged phone call between Khashoggi and the Saudi ambassador to Washington, Khalid bin Salman –the crown prince’s brother– who assured the journalist it was safe to go to the consulate, the Post reported.

Ambassador bin Salman abruptly left Washington on October 11, and was not expected to return, according to reports by multiple media outlets, which were neither confirmed nor denied by Riyadh.

The CIA’s “purported assessments are false,” Fatimah Baeshen, a spokeswoman for the Saudi embassy in Washington, told the Post. “We have and continue to hear various theories without seeing the primary basis for these speculations.”'

Germany fully halts arms exports to Riyadh & hits 18 Saudis with travel bans over Khashoggi
http://www.rt.com/news/444373-germany-sanctions-arms-khashoggi/

Germany has imposed travel bans on 18 Saudis suspected of involvement in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi last month, after its economic ministry confirmed all the arms deals with Riyadh have been fully canceled.

The country’s foreign ministry announced that the sanctions were imposed in coordination with France and Britain. The 18 individuals will be banned from entering all 26 Schengen Area countries.

The news came almost one month after German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced her country would stop supplying weapons to Riyadh “under current circumstances” – referring to the investigation into Khashoggi’s death.

Before the halt, Germany had approved arms exports worth €416.4 million ($475.7) to Saudi Arabia this year. That number makes Saudi Arabia its second-best arms customer, after Algeria, according to Deutsche Welle.

Now it’s been confirmed that “there are currently no exports from Germany to Saudi Arabia,” a Ministry of Economics spokesman said on Monday. Even those arms shipments approved before Merkel’s announcement last month have now been halted.'

America First! Defiant Trump posts simple two-word tweet after refusing to sanction Saudi Arabia and its crown prince over Jamal Khashoggi's death, insisting he will not risk losing 'hundreds of billions of dollars to Russia and China'
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6411091/Trump-refuses-sanction-Saudi-crown-prince-kingdom-death-Jamal-Khashoggi.html

'Donald Trump reiterated his stance after refusing to sanction Saudi Arabia and its crown prince over Jamal Khashoggi's death with a simple two-word tweet Tuesday night.

'America First!,' Trump tweeted after earlier Tuesday defiantly refusing to sanction Saudi Arabia and its de facto leader, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the torture and murder of journalist Khashoggi.

Speaking before he boarded Marine One for the first leg of a trip to Mar-a-Lago for Thanksgiving, he refused to retreat from a claim he had made in a written statement that there was no certainty bin Salman ordered the brutal killing of the dissident Washington Post columnist — and that sanctioning him and the kingdom would cost American jobs.

Russia and China would sweep in and take Saudi investments for themselves, he claimed.

He also denied he had any personal business interest in the Saudi economy, claiming that being president had cost him 'a fortune like you have never seen.'

Trump spoke after the White House issued an exclamation point-littered statement on Khashoggi's killing that went against a reported CIA assessment that it was high probable bin Salman ordered the journalist's murder.

His position entirely ignored the CIA's findings and prompted an immediate backlash from prominent senators.

But on the White House's South Lawn Trump explained: 'It is all about America first - it is America first.

'We're not going to give up hundreds of billions of dollars of orders and let Russia, China, everybody else have them,' he said.'

‘A vicious place’: Trump blames ‘the world’ for Khashoggi’s death
https://www.rt.com/usa/444658-us-trump-khashoggi-blame/

After issuing a statement standing by Saudi Arabia in the wake of journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder, President Trump told reporters that “the world should be held accountable” for the writer’s killing.

Trump was asked by a reporter on Thursday who he thinks should be held accountable for Khashoggi’s death.

“Maybe the world should be held accountable,” Trump replied. “Because the world is a vicious place. The world is a very vicious place.”

Trump: Maybe the world should be held accountable because the world is a vicious place. The world is a very vicious place. https://t.co/AD9ltGX8c2 pic.twitter.com/XBsFhXyO5i

— CBS News (@CBSNews) November 22, 2018

In his official statement on Khashoggi’s death, released Tuesday, the president opened with similar language. “The world is a very dangerous place!” Trump wrote, before explaining how some countries are more dangerous than others.

“It could very well be that the (Saudi) Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event,” Trump wrote. However, Trump insisted that the US would remain a “steadfast partner” of the desert Kingdom, citing Riyadh’s vital role as an oil exporter and ally against Iran.

The US has sanctioned 17 Saudi individuals for their alleged role in the killing, including Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, who Turkish authorities believe led a 15-man ‘kill team’ to Istanbul to murder Khashoggi. The Saudi government has not been sanctioned, despite the fact that the CIA concluded “with high confidence” that the Crown Prince ordered Khashoggi to be taken out.

Asked about the CIA report on Thursday, Trump said that the CIA's conclusion meant the agency "had feelings," not factual proof that the Prince was involved.'

CIA has recording of MBS phone call to silence Khashoggi: Report
http://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/11/23/580837/US-Trump-Khashoggi-CIA-turkey-bin-Salman-recording

'The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is in possession of a tape that proves Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gave instructions to "silence" dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a new report has revealed.

Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported Thursday that CIA Director Gina Haspel had signaled the existence of the recording to Turkish officials last month.

MBS is under growing pressure to come clean about Khashoggi’s murder inside the Saudi consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul about six weeks ago. Spam_A Spam_B While Riyadh has repeatedly denied the young prince’s involvement, there have been reports of several audio recordings that confirm bin Salman ordered a hit job on longtime friend Khashoggi, after he turned on him and started to criticize his policies.

"There is talk of another recording," Hurriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi wrote, claiming that the alleged call took place between MBS and his brother Khaled, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the US.

"It is being said the crown prince gave orders to 'silence Jamal Khashoggi as soon as possible'," in a call which was monitored by the CIA, he claimed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Khashoggi’s murder was ordered by the highest level of Saudi leadership.'

Saudi hunt for opponents went way beyond Khashoggi: Report
https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2018/11/24/581025/Saudi-cyber-espionage-dissidents-Khashoggi

'A new report by a major American magazine says Saudi Arabia had been hunting and hitting critics of the regime on a massive scale long before it ordered the assassination of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in its consulate in Istanbul last month.

The Forbes said in an exclusive report published on its website that Saudi Arabian government had been using extensive technology tools to harass the dissidents living abroad or spy on them before Khashoggi's death on October 2, an incident which exposed Riyadh's zero tolerance for the dissent and even those living in exile.

The report specifically studied records of such cyber espionage on Ghanem Almasarir, an anti-Saudi satirist based in London who is well known for his way of mocking the extravagant lifestyle of the Saudi royal family.

Almasarir told Forbes that his phone has been frequently tampered with through Pegasus, a software pack designed by a company in the Israeli-occupied Palestine.

The report said that the malware, a creation of Israeli surveillance dealer called NSO Group, a highly secretive entity valued at $1 billion, has been used by Riyadh to spy on many dissidents across the world, including political activist Yahya Assiri, also based in the United Kingdom, an employee working on Saudi-related issues for Amnesty International, also UK-based, and activist Omar Abdulaziz from Quebec, Canada.

All those people have reported attacks to their mobile phones through Pegasus, saying the malware has sought to siphon personal and sensitive information from the devices so that Saudi intelligence services could track their movements and activities.

Danna Ingleton, the deputy program director for the technology division of Amnesty International, said governments like Saudi Arabia were using national security as an excuse to silence the activists.

“We have example, after example, after example of this software (Pegasus) being used to harass and threaten activists around the world,” said Ingleton.'

Trump Regime Blocks CIA Chief From Testifying About Khashoggi’s Murder

by Stephen Lendman http://stephenlendman.org/

Since Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) ordered the brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi on October 2, White House strategy about the incident has been coverup, denial, and changing the subject.

Trump and regime hardliners want nothing interfering with longstanding US dirty business as usual with Saudi Arabia - including Riyadh’s support for Washington’s imperial wars and jihadist foot soldiers, along with arms and munitions sales to the kingdom.

On Wednesday, Mike Pompeo and James Mattis will testify in closed door session before Senate Foreign Relations Committee members on Khashoggi’s murder and endless (US, UK, French, Israeli, Saudi, UAE) war in Yemen.

Today’s testimony comes ahead of an upcoming Senate vote up or down on whether to suspend US arms sales to the kingdom - clearly what won’t be congressionally approved longterm, if at all. Nor will Trump regime hardliners accept changes to US/Saudi relations.

CIA chief Gina Haspel heard damning audio evidence of Khashoggi’s murder, provided by Turkish intelligence.

Based on Turkish evidence and its own assessment, Langley concluded with high confidence that MBS bears full responsibility for ordering Khashoggi’s murder.

Yet Trump and regime hardliners remain in coverup and denial mode about an indisputable fact. It’s significant that the CIA refuted the White House and Riyadh in its conclusion about Khashoggi’s murder.

It’s a major development, indicating Langley’s displeasure with MBS rule and Trump’s support for a figure it opposes.

DLT was fully briefed on the agency’s assessment. Haspel above all other regime officials is in a position to provide intelligence information to Congress about what happened.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Bob Corker called for her to appear before committee members with Pompeo and Mattis on Wednesday.

According to an unnamed US official, she was told by the White House not to testify, adding “(t)here is always an intel” official present during briefings like Wednesday’s.

“It is totally unprecedented and should be interpreted as nothing less than the Trump administration trying to silence the intelligence community.”

Haspel’s absence today speaks for itself, despite John Bolton claiming no White House order for her to stay away from the Senate hearing.

According to former CIA official Bruce Riedel, Haspel “traveled to Turkey, and she is the one who listened to the tapes and is reported to have briefed the president multiple times.”

“This is further evidence that the White House is trying to outdo the Saudis in carrying out the worst cover-up in modern history.”

A March Senate measure, under the 1973 War Powers Resolution, to suspend arms sales to the kingdom for Yemen war high crimes was defeated by majority Senate members.

An upcoming measure, perhaps to be voted on this week, could pass. Congressional approval for suspending arms sales to the kingdom requires at least a veto-proof two-thirds majority.

Even if enacted into law during the lame duck session or by the new Congress next year, it’ll be short-term policy before resuming dirty business as usual with the kingdom.

Trump and regime hardliners remain in coverup and denial mode. Earlier this week, DLT again turned truth on its head, claiming “the CIA did not say affirmatively” that MBS ordered Khashoggi’s murder.

In a CIA-obtained smoking gun phone call tape, MBS is heard saying “silence Jamal Khashoggi as soon as possible.”

An unnamed former State Department official minced no words, saying MBS’ direct responsibility for Khashoggi’s murder is “blindingly obvious” to virtually everyone in the international community.

Trump, regime hardliners, and Saudi MBS loyalists alone dispute what’s indisputably clear.

The 15-member hit team dispatched to Istanbul included Saudis close to the crown prince, including members of his personal security detail.

The order to kill Khashoggi came from the kingdom’s highest authority - its de facto ruler Mohammad bin Salman, no one else.

Endless Trump regime coverup and denial won’t change what’s “blindingly obvious” to everyone paying attention.

Pentagon says Riyadh is too important to whip, rolls out $15 billion THAAD arms deal instead
http://www.rt.com/news/445163-mattis-thaad-saudi-arabia/

'The US rarely has 'unblemished' partners so it will pour more defensive weapons into Saudi Arabia despite outrage over Khashoggi and Yemen, Pentagon chief James Mattis admitted as the nation handed the kingdom a big new deal.

The most-recent major US-Saudi arms deal was rolled out on Wednesday. Riyadh is seeking to get THAAD air defense missile systems, and the terms of the purchase were quietly formalized this week, the State Department announced. Under the $15 billion contract, Riyadh will receive 44 THAAD launchers, missiles and related equipment.

The news of a yet another lucrative contract came the very same day Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo rushed to defend the kingdom against the mounting anger in the Senate over the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the bloody war in Yemen. Speaking at a closed-door briefing, they explained that Saudi Arabia is simply too important to scrap existing bonds. Spam_A Spam_B The Pentagon's chief called Riyadh "fundamental" to regional and Israeli security, as well as crucial for the US' own interests.

"We are seldom free to work with unblemished partners," Mattis bluntly admitted. He went on to argue that the ties with the kingdom "cannot be dismissed" even as Washington condemned Khashoggi's death.

The officials also came out of their way to shield Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, widely known as MBS, against the allegations that he might have been in on the plan to kill Khashoggi all along.

"We have no smoking gun the Crown Prince was involved, not the intelligence community or anyone else. There is no smoking gun," Mattis told reporters. Pompeo agreed with him, claiming there is "no direct reporting" connecting MBS with the order to kill the journalist.

Their statements seemed to run contrary to the CIA. According to media reports, intelligence officials, in fact, have believed "for weeks" that there is no way that Jamal Khashoggi's murder could have happened without the Crown Prince's approval.'

Saudi activist sues Israeli firm for ‘helping’ Riyadh snoop on murdered journalist Khashoggi
https://www.rt.com/news/445458-khashoggi-israel-company-snooping-lawsuit/

'A Saudi activist who regularly corresponded with slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi has sued an Israeli spyware firm. He claims the company helped the Saudi government snoop on Khashoggi before his murder.

In the lawsuit, Montreal-based Saudi dissident Omar Abdulaziz claims that the Israeli firm, NSO Group, provided Saudi Arabia with powerful software which gave the Kingdom access to communications between himself and Khashoggi.

As a result, the Saudi government was allegedly made aware of a project that the pair were working on – “cyber bees” – an online youth movement aimed at holding the Kingdom accountable for “human rights abuses.”

In text exchanges obtained by CNN, Khashoggi told Abdulaziz that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was a “beast” with an insatiable appetite for power.

“The more victims he eats, the more he wants,” Khashoggi reportedly wrote in May.

“I will not be surprised if the oppression will reach even those who are cheering him on.”

According to Abdulaziz, in August the two men began to suspect that their conversations were being intercepted and that the Saudi government was aware of their opposition project.

“God help us,” Khashoggi wrote to Abdulaziz. Two months later, he was murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.'

Jared Kushner 'spoke to the Saudi crown prince after the murder of journalist Khashoggi and advised him how to weather the storm'

'Jared Kushner advised Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to resolve his conflicts in the Middle East and avoid further embarrassments, after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, it has been claimed.

The New York Times reports that a source from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia claimed they spoke on the phone after news emerged of the journalist's October 2 death inside the KSA Istanbul embassy.

The White House only recognizes one official talk between the pair after Khashoggi's killing – an October 10 chat where national security adviser, John R. Bolton, took part and American 'asked for more details and for the Saudi government to be transparent in the investigation process'.

White House officials declined to comment specifically on one-on-one communication between the prince and Trump's adviser after the death of Khashoggi.
A spokesperson said in a statement: 'Jared has always meticulously followed protocols and guidelines regarding the relationship with MBS and all of the other foreign officials with whom he interacts.'

However it was alleged the duo enjoyed multiple unofficial phone calls and eventually started speaking on a first name basis and even text each other via Whatsapp.

The Times says three former White House officials and two people briefed by the Saudi royal court participated in their report that claims their friendship got so concerning the National Security Council staff members were strictly reinstated to listen in on all calls.

According to Hezbelloh sympathizing Lebanese newspaper, Al Akhbar, which shared email and text message communications with them, it was part of a string of talks in a friendship orchestrated by the Saudis to gain favour from Donald Trump.

As the US President's adviser, Kushner was reportedly regarded as an easy way in for the Middle Eastern royal who was yet to oust his cousin, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, and take on the prominent position in 2017.'

‘The thing is done’: Khashoggi killing tape indicates hit squad was briefing Riyadh, report says
https://www.rt.com/news/446032-khashoggi-transcript-last-words/

'The full transcript of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi's murder in a Saudi consulate in Turkey reportedly shows that one of the assassins was briefing someone on the phone as the journalist's dismembering progressed.

According to a CNN report citing a source who has reviewed the full transcript of the audio recording translated from Arabic, a man, identified as Maher Abdulaziz Mutreb, a former Saudi diplomat and intelligence official, made at least three phone calls to someone who was apparently a superior.

"Tell yours, the thing is done, it's done," Mutreb allegedly said as Khashoggi drew his last breath at the hands of a 15-man hit team.

It's unclear from the transcript who was on the other end of the line. According to the CNN source, it is believed that Mutreb was updating Saud al-Qahtani, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's former communications chief.

Al-Qahtani was fired from his post as the kingdom's royal court adviser as Riyadh was facing the fallout from Khashoggi's killing, which has strained relations with its allies in the West.

The transcript cited by CNN also contains the last words ever uttered by the slain journalist and a chilling description of his dismembering.

"I can't breathe," Khashoggi cried. The plea was followed by muffled noises and several voices talking overhead, but nothing more could be discerned, according to the source.

The transcript then meticulously describes the sounds that followed.

"Scream. Scream. Gasping, Saw. Cutting," it reads, only confirming the previous reports that the journalist was suffocated and then cut into pieces.

One of the two hitmen identified in the transcript, Dr. Salah Muhammad al-Tubaiqi, is cited as advising other members of the team to put earphones on "or listen to music like me" to dull the disconcerting bone saw noises.'

US Senate passes resolution blaming Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Jamal Khashoggi murder
https://www.rt.com/usa/446410-senate-resolution-mbs-murder-khashoggi/

The US Senate has unanimously passed a resolution calling Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman responsible for the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was brutally killed and dismembered in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The resolution demands that Riyadh “ensure appropriate accountability” in this case. The move came just minutes after the senators passed a separate motion calling on the US to stop any aid to the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen.

Quote

BREAKING: Biggest setback for Saudi Arabia in DC in years. Senate votes to end US support for Yemen war, unanimously adopts resolution from @SenBobCorker: "The United States Senate has unanimously-- unanimously--held Mohammad bin Salman responsible for death of Jamal Khashoggi"

— Nick Schifrin (@nickschifrin) December 13, 2018

The Senate called the situation in the war-ravaged country a “humanitarian crisis” and demanded all parties seek an immediate ceasefire. It is yet unclear whether the House would vote on any of the motions after they had passed the Senate.

The decision shows that the majority in Congress understand that the US economy can easily survive without the money from weapons deals with Saudi Arabia, Robert Naiman, director of Just Foreign Policy, told RT.

“A lot of lobbying firms dropped Saudi Arabia like a hot potato,” he said. “The majority is demanding there be no more weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and the refueling of Saudi/UAE warplanes bombing Yemen under Congressional pressure.”

The move came a week after CIA Director Gina Haspel appeared on Capitol Hill to tell a dozen or so senators about intelligence her agency had on Khashoggi’s death. The briefing apparently solidified the belief, at least among some of them, that the Saudi crown prince was, indeed, behind the murder.'
