Well I know the movie. It's primarily about THE POGO PARADOX.
That is, it's a Sci-fi movie yes? It's about the Temporal Paradox.
One good example of a Pogo or Temporal Paradox would be: —
By going back in time to prevent an event, we trigger the event.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there are ZERO SCENES of the walking dead in this movie.
That's because it is about the past, and some kind of effort to prevent future events, from the past.

That's what it finishes on? David Morse ('Contact') gets on the plane, after releasing the pathogen
in the airport at emmigration control, and sits down next to the women who
in the movies' future (was to be) the commandanté, in charge of time missions. In the story's 'future';
she is in charge of the 'failed' attempt to prevent the 12 MONKEYS group from releasing the pathogen!

The 12-Monkeys don't have it. They have nothing to do with it. They're the distraction:
They just want to release a whole zoo of animals. They are animal liberation.
And Brad Pitt plays the chaotic son of the owner of the Bio-Lab involved ...

The women David Morse's character meets on the plane, is at this point in the TIMELINE
an INSURANCE SALESWOMAN. They are just meeting for the first time? Or is it something else?
As an insurance salesperson, she represents an industry which is assured to profit from catastrophe.

I will have to watch the movie again. It took me about 5 viewings to get to understanding this much.
(without any assistance, or prompts from the 'internet'). I just, about 4/5 weeks back, watched it again.

QUI BONO? QUI BONO? Your answers please: God, you are slow:

INSURANCE: The White Man's Burdon. The UN, GPMB's & WHO's ransom note seems to infer:
The Developed world will fund the entire health modernisation of the 3rd World to UNITED NATIONS Terms.
And these terms are to be agreed or ratified by SEPTEMBER 2020, or .. well a 3rd ("at least 2 exercises") pp10

https://apps.who.int/gpmb/assets/annual_report/GPMB_annualreport_2019.pdf

Don't mess them up. This is not my fiction. 12-monkeys is a great POGO-PARADOX epic by Monty Python's graphics artist.
Terry Gilliam was a gifted ... person. Top right in the photo below:

The GPMB and UN, have a different kind of reputation to live up to. Yes?
I am not playing NINTENDO on the sofa, nor do I watch, ever, Netflix. I have a physical library too ...

I was/am a student of physics; I'm back into it. I'm working hard to get back into Physics/Maths.
And it's not important whether YOU know that or not; I will tell you all about it anyways.
It may be of no use to try telling anyone about this stuff. That's about predestination?
It is only possible to intervene in 'streams of time', if people are willing to participate.

And so, in the movie 12-Monkeys, we have Press-ganged time-traveller: Bruce Willis.
Who wants more?
