Do not play with magic
Magic is not free, it comes at a price.

Alister Crowley died alone in poverty as a heroin addict
Doctor John Dee his library stolen, died in poverty

Those where some of the greatest magicians to ever live, and look how they ended up, dead and poor.
We are all running on Gods laptop.
The problem is the virus called the Illuminati.

There is NO AGE at which it is safe to play with magic.

I posted extensively on this topic on the old Prison Planet  Forum before the most recent presidential election.
If you are a member there, you may want to search the library to research this topic, as I was quite open about my own dabbling in the occult.

Using magic gives you a false sense of power.
The price you pay is the loss of being able to think critically and you  can easily develop a distorted sense of reality.
It is too easy to become delusional, that is, to believe that you are special and "god-like " in your abilities.
You may very easily begin to have trouble determining what is really happening to you and when you are hallucinating.
The powers that YOU believe you are summoning to do your will are PLAYING WITH YOU and waiting for the right time to overtake your personality.
You risk becoming a prisoner of the darkside and are unable to escape their control.

I know that mainstream media promotes many TV shows that make using magic seem like fun.
However, even in the popular films, how many characters escape unharmed...seriously ?
There is also the story line that "one girl survives" all the chaos, hauntings, ghost explorations,  seances...etc.
What makes you think that YOU would be that one girl?
This is fantasy, my friend, not reality.

If you are playing with OUIJA boards, burn them.
They can open doors to other dimensions and we cannot control what comes through.
Do YOU want to be responsible for bringing more evil into this already evil world, really?
Do YOU want to be responsible for bringing danger  and possibly death and worse into the lives of friends,  good family members and the people whom you love ?

If you have the good sense to post the question "when is it safe...?",  then  I think you are mature enough to consider the possible harmful consequences of your actions.
Your question indicates to me that you have a conscience.
You know the difference between right and wrong.

In the UK, every Wiccan knows that if you cause harm, it will return to you THREE TIMES WORSE than the damage you caused to others.
That is a terrifying price to pay for entertainment or a sense of false power over others.

If you wish to discuss this further, contact me via private message.
I will listen to your story and take you seriously.

Never. Trust us; it's not worth it.

Wow. What a thread.  ???

Thanks Phoenix, it's good to see the front lines clear as day.

@ GenaOi

Magick can access power, but the question is where does the power reside? Because it might not be you that has the power, it might be the magick that has the power and you that become the agent of that power. And that my friend would mean the literal and metaphorical loss of your soul.

Your question could be paraphrased, "should I build a nuclear weapon?" and of course the answer would definitely be no. No one should.

Study philosophy and ethics.

Study the The four 'scientific' artes – music, arithmetic, geometry and astronomy (astrology).
Then the remaining three arts of the 'humanities' – grammar, logic, and rhetoric.

You want truly powerful knowledge that will change you and the world around you?

Get to know yourself. Really. Truly. Know who you are and you will know the awe of divine creation.

You can start by watching the following series of lectures by:

Are you in earnest resolved never to barter your liberty for the lordly servitude of a court, but to live free, fearless, and independent? Then never enter the place from whence so few have been able to return; never come within the circle of ambition; nor ever bring yourself into comparison with those masters of the earth who have already engrossed the attention of half mankind before you.
