SOE Captain Michael Leese "The Rape of Serbia: The British Role in Tito's Grab for Power 1943-1944" ( 1991)

In WW2, British Special operation executive ordered Cap. Leese to be authorized officer in units ( "chetniks" ) in southeast Serbia under command of General Dragoljub-Draza Mihailovic. However, in the middle of the War British PM Churchill rejected Gen. Mihailovic and fully accepted "Tito" and his Communist Partizans. Cap. Leese was agree for that new policy and he have arguments how did Gen. Mihailovic become "bad guy". He was information that in British IS, specially SOE was a lot of Communist who send false reports to Headquarters.

P.S. S. Milosevic`s State TV made in 1998 TV movie " British gambit". In probably invented conversation Cap. Leese defend Gen. Mihailovic and Serbs in general and on other side Sir Fitzroy MacLean defends Tito`s Communist and dissolve of Yugoslavia.

Yes. YES. Books. Boooooooks.  :)

Latest for me have been...

Finishing the Hornblower series by C.S. Forrester...

https://goodreads.com/series/49812-hornblower-saga-chronological-order

The strategies and suspense in all of the Hornblower books really get ya

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

About to be a movie, keep an eye on it --- trans-humanism

At War at Sea by Ronald H. Spector

History of modern naval warfare, starting with the Russo-Japanese War in 1905

1599 Geneva Bible

Still working on it, but my first non-NIV version to read, with many more to come over the coming decades.

Ayn Rand is still my favorite, fiction or not. I wish George Orwell could've written more. And I still need to read some more Victor Hugo. Les Miserables was a phenomenal read I think a lot of us could connect with.

"Castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually." - Jimi Hendrix

"Democracy is indispensable to socialism" - Lenin

Depends a lot on what you believe.

Black Banners by Ali Soufan - is one of the most knowledgeable

See No Evil by Bob Baer - is probably more about 9/11 than it comes across.

One of my faves is "Jennifer Government". Pretty timely black comedy. (Black as in noir, not as in race)

Gosh !

You guys are all so serious !

Reading the news reported here and checking out net sites is enough "reality" for me.

I prefer to dive into fantasy like murder/mystery, whether serious or comical.

I'll even re-read the Harry Potter series.
recently returned to the HOBBIT and actually got bored...too slow.

Easy, light, fun stuff.
I want to be entertained.

but i appreciate all of you who are reading to save the world.
I've put my time in and need a rest.
;)
