Don't you have to be found guilty of a crime in a court of law , before you can be granted a pardon ?

Will Trump Pardon Julian Assange?
President to side with his base or the deep state?
Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com - April 11, 2019

According to his lawyer, Julian Assange was arrested on a US extradition request, diminishing the chances that he will receive a presidential pardon.

But why is the Trump administration seeking to prosecute the Wikileaks founder?

Assange exposed war crimes committed at the behest of neo-con warmongers.

It was the war crimes that harmed America’s reputation, not Wikileaks.

This is perfectly in line with the non-interventionist, America first platform Trump ran on.

In 2016, Trump literally said, “I love Wikileaks,” so why does Julian Assange now face the possibility of disappearing into a black hole, never to be heard from again?

Will Trump Pardon Julian Assange?
Cryptic tweets suggest Assange extradition to Switzerland
Jerome Corsi | Infowars.com - January 2, 2018

https://www.infowars.com/will-trump-pardon-julian-assange/

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Is Julian Assange about to be set free?

A QAnon post on the Internet bulletin board 8chan on Christmas Day and a series of messages posted on Twitter by Julian Assange on New Year’s Day appear to deliver a coordinated message that an extradition for Assange from his sanctuary in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London is imminent.

While interpreting posts intended to be cryptic is not a science, those following QAnon understand he has predicted several important developments in code, in an effort to mobilize internet-aware Trump loyalists.

Ultimately, the question QAnon is raising is this: Will President Trump pardon Julian Assange?

While CIA Director Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Sessions have argued that arresting Julian Assange is a priority, it is not clear that Assange has violated national security laws. Even if it can be shown he published classified U.S. national security documents.

Technically, Assange has not yet been indicted for any criminal offense in the United States, nor is it clear he has committed any crime.  Under the Supreme Court Decisions New York Times v. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 254 (1964), and in the Pentagon Papers case, New York Times v. U.S. 403 U.S. 713 (1971), a journalist is allowed to accept and publish classified documents provided by other sources.

Mysteriously vanished Dutch WikiLeaks partner ‘likely’ lost in kayaking accident – Norway police
http://www.rt.com/news/467163-wikileaks-associate-kayaking-accident/

'A WikiLeaks associate, who mysteriously vanished last year while on a visit to Norway, was probably the victim of a kayaking accident, Norwegian police say. The man’s body remains missing, however, leaving a mystery unsolved.

In a statement on Friday, police said they believe Arjen Kamphuis – a missing cybersecurity expert and WikiLeaks affiliate who was last seen in the Norweigan town of Bodo in the summer of 2018 – was likely “lost at sea” after a kayaking trip went awry.

“The police have concluded that Mr Kamphuis most likely suffered an accident on the evening of August 20, 2018, while kayaking in … northern Norway, and was subsequently lost at sea,” the police statement said.

Kamphuis’s disappearance has generated conspiracy theories, particularly due to his connection to WikiLeaks and suspicions were stoked further last year when a phone belonging to Kamphuis was briefly activated in a location nearly 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) from Bodo.

However, in their Friday statement, police said the phone was picked up by a pair of truck drivers who stopped to fish near the spot Kamphuis’s kayak and other belongings were discovered, and that they “have no reason to believe that the truck drivers were involved in the disappearance of Mr Kamphuis in any other way.”

WikiLeaks referred to the cyber engineer’s disappearance as “strange” back then, but has yet to comment on the latest police statement.'

In the "rebuilding Russia" brochure, written in 1990, when the USSR was still in existence, I said that private ownership of the land was essential. It's obvious why. For self-interest. One is interested in his job when he has his own stake in it.
Now the situation regarding private land ownership is so complicated that a few pages of text would be required for my answer. You can't even imagine what's going on there! What is coming up is simply a sell-out ... into nothingness. Nothing will remain of Russia. Not even the land. Nothing ! There will be no farmers - just a wage earner. And a cheater who will own the land ...

Generally speaking, respecting the adoption of foreign models, each country has its own tradition, which cannot be ignore "

Edward Snowden’s Julian Assange is an Unfamiliar Julian Assange

'NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and WikiLeaks’ former editor Julian Assange have a complicated relationship. On the one hand, they share important similarities: both are perceived as dangerous enemies by the United States government, and both have been <a href="https://www.truthdig.com/articles/from-edward-snowden-to-julian-assange-filmmaker-laura-poitras-takes-on-another-renegade-in-risk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">documentary subjects of filmmaker Laura Poitras. On the other hand, they clearly disagree when it comes to the means of achieving government transparency and accountability. After all, if Snowden had agreed with Assange about publishing practices, it is likely that he would have followed Chelsea Manning’s example and sent the NSA documents he collected and disclosed in 2013 to WikiLeaks.

The recent publication of Permanent Record, Snowden’s 336-page memoir, takes the Snowden-Assange dynamic to new—and problematic—heights. When Assange was forcibly dragged out of the Ecuadorian embassy in early 2019, Snowden was among <a href="https://www.truthdig.com/articles/edward-snowden-leads-chorus-condemning-assanges-arrest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the leading voices condemning the arrest of the WikiLeaks founder, calling it a dangerous assault on journalism. But in his memoir, Snowden uses rhetorical tricks to present Assange and WikiLeaks as his deceitful and irresponsible foils in a blatant and seemingly self-serving effort to highlight his own trustworthiness and accountability. Indeed, reviewers at the Washington Post and New Yorkerhave <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/edward-snowden-explains-how-he-pulled-off-one-of-the-largest-leaks-in-us-history/2019/09/13/eb64e4a0-d62c-11e9-9343-40db57cf6abd_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/09/23/edward-snowden-and-the-rise-of-whistle-blower-culture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">seized upon Snowden’s anti-Assange rhetoric to serve their own anti-Assange agendas.

Proponents of press freedom have become accustomed to Pentagon and national security state attacks on Assange, but Snowden’s puzzling claims about the white-haired Australian and his transparency organization are exceptionally dangerous because they come from an otherwise highly respectable and trustworthy source, and at a time when there is otherwise a virtual media blackout on WikiLeaks. To be sure, Snowden deserves recognition as a courageous whistleblower and as a global champion of privacy rights, but in Permanent Record, Snowden appears willing to use a political prisoner for personal gain, deliberately distorting the truth and perpetuating the imperialistic propaganda that threatens not only Assange’s health but also his very life—just like the corporate media and national security state he exposed in 2013.'

Assange subjected to torture & violations of due process rights – UN envoy

Two medical experts accompanied Melzer when he visited Assange at Belmarsh prison in the UK, he said on Tuesday.

Quote
We came to the conclusion that he had been exposed to psychological torture for a prolonged period of time. That's a medical assessment.

Melzer’s message fell largely on deaf ears, as only a handful of reporters attended Tuesday’s press conference at the UN headquarters in New York.'

‘I can’t think properly’: Assange disoriented as court rejects delay for extradition proceedings

Cleanly shaven and dressed in a navy suit, Assange appeared before Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday to seek the postponement of an extradition hearing scheduled for February.

His lawyer argued that the US government had attempted to kidnap and cause harm to his client, and that he would need more time to compile evidence for the case.

Although Assange raised his fist to supporters in the public gallery, the imprisoned journalist did not appear to be in good form. The WikiLeaks founder reportedly struggled to say his own name and date of birth, and held back tears as he told the court that he couldn’t “think properly.”

The Deep State Is Assassinating Julian Assange

'WikiLeaks founder and journalist Julian Assange appeared in court to fight his extradition to the United States, sluggishly reciting his name and date of birth in a zombie-like state — displaying signs of either sleep deprivation, torture or poisoning — but quickly recovered to state the rigged case against him to the judge when he was asked if he understood what he was facing.

Assange responded, appearing to fight back tears at his case management hearing, “I can’t think properly, I don’t understand how this is equitable. This superpower had 10 years to prepare for this case and I can’t access my writings. It’s very difficult where I am to do anything but these people have unlimited resources.” The WikiLeaks Founder added, “They are saying journalists and whistleblowers are enemies of the people. They have unfair advantages dealing with documents. They know the interior of my life with my psychologist. They steal my children’s DNA. This is not equitable what is happening here?”

Assange was also denied a 90-day extension to prepare his defense as governments rig yet another case against the WikiLeaks journalist, proving the death of real justice and right to a fair trial in the UK is corroborated with the death of journalism and ethics. In other words, the cards are stacked against Assange; the state has committed numerous illegal moves, yet the man’s defense can’t do anything because the state isn’t playing by the rules by showing a total bias, court action after court action.

Westminster Magistrates’ Court district judge Vanessa Baraitser further highlighted that rigging by adhering to the behest of government prosecutor James Lewis QC who was firmly against the judge giving Assange any extra time to prepare his case, as The Guardian reported.

As The Canary reports:

Quote
Clearly, the full weight of the British and US state apparatus is bearing down on the WikiLeaks founder in this extradition case. That was made explicitly clear in a statement by Nils Melzer, the UN special rapporteur on torture, in May. He <a href="https://www.ohchr.org/EN/NewsEvents/Pages/DisplayNews.aspx?NewsID=24665&LangID=E" rel="noopener noreferrer external" data-wpel-link="external">urged the UK not to extradite Assange to the US, saying:

In 20 years of work with victims of war, violence and political persecution I have never seen a group of democratic States ganging up to deliberately isolate, demonise and abuse a single individual for such a long time and with so little regard for human dignity and the rule of law.

Assange’s legal team also accused the U.S. of attempting to “kidnap and harm” the WikiLeaks founder and used that as reasoning for delaying the trial, Sky News reported.

Mark Summers, one of Assange’s lawyers, described the extradition bid as “a political attempt” by Donald Trump’s administration to “signal to journalists the consequences of publishing information.”

“It is legally unprecedented,” he told the court.

Summers further claimed the U.S. had “intruded” on conversations between Assange and his lawyers while he was in the Ecuadorian embassy, and the intrusions included “hooded men breaking into offices.”
