Tory DWP Secretary Esther McVey ‘fails to declare official link to shady £20million Political Campaigning Firm

'The Conservative Work and Pensions Secretary appears to have failed to declare an official link to a shady £20m political campaigning business who are engaged in potentially illegal fundraising activities in the official register of interests, research conducted by Evolve Politics‘ journalist Alex Tiffin has uncovered.

On March 21st 2018, an Esther Louise McVey with the same name and address as the Tory DWP Secretary was appointed as the Company Secretary of a firm called Loyal Scots Company Limited.

The latest accounts filed for Loyal Scots Company Limited show that the company Director, William Keir Thow, has allotted 20,000,000 shares at a value of £1 each, meaning the company values itself at £20m.

Despite the valuation of £20m, the company is registered at an address on Tullos Crescent in Aberdeen, a deprived area of Scotland where houses are only valued at an average of around £89k.

On the official government business registry website, Companies House, Thow’s firm, Loyal Scots Company Limited, is officially registered as dealing in IT Consultancy.

However, the firm’s Twitter bio makes it particularly obvious that they are involved in some type of pro-Unionist political campaigning, stating:

“Since they, who’s duty it was, to wield the Sword of Scotland UK, have let it fall shattered to the ground; We take up that broken blade!”

Furthermore, on Thow’s personal Twitter account, he describes himself as a “British Scottish Natzi hunter & reporter” and advertises shares in his Loyal Scots firm, asking people to “buy a £1 share to preserve the union“.

However, as a private Ltd company, it is illegal to ask for investment in such a way, Only public Ltd companies may do this.'
