China's CCP cotton picking Slaves

More than half a million Uighurs and other minorities forced to pick cotton in China, report reveals

New evidence from Xinjiang could have 'potentially drastic consequences for global supply chains'
Rory Sullivan

More than half a million people from ethnic minorities in China's Xinjiang region have been forced to pick cotton, a new report has revealed.

Uighurs and other Muslim groups are thought to have been targeted through a coercive labour
transfer and "poverty alleviation" scheme mandated by the Chinese government.

The Center for Global Policy (CGP) report said that evidence from 2018 shows that 570,000 people from three minority-heavy prefectures in Xinjiang were made to pick cotton, with the total number of minority ethnic people coerced into this work across the region likely to be "several hundred thousand" higher.

The findings, based on an analysis of government documents and state media reports by the independent researcher Adrian Zenz, have "potentially drastic consequences for global supply chains", according to the CGP.

This is because Xinjiang produces approximately 20 per cent of the world's cotton and 85 per cent of China's cotton, which is exported to countries including Vietnam and Bangladesh for use in their clothing industries.
As a result of its conclusions about forced labour, the CGP is calling on the US government to block imports of all cotton from Xinjiang with a Withhold Release Order. Currently, the Trump administration has only put out an order on Xinjiang cotton produced in XPCC areas.

Swalwell Spoke At Same 2013 Event As Alleged Chinese Spy Who Worked For Dianne Feinstein

Rep. Eric Swalwell spoke at an event in 2013 along with a former staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein who is alleged to have spied for the Chinese government.
The group that hosted Swalwell and Russell Lowe, the Feinstein staffer, was led by Christine Fang, who herself is alleged to have worked as a Chinese secret agent from 2011 to 2015.

Fang developed close ties to Swalwell, Axios reported this week. She raised money for his political campaigns and planted an intern in his office.

California Rep. Eric Swalwell, whose contacts with a Chinese spy were revealed this week, spoke at a same event in 2013 as another alleged Chinese agent who worked for decades for California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

The event was hosted by the group led by Christine Fang, a Chinese national whose relationship with Swalwell was the subject of a report published this week by Axios. There is no indication of wrongdoing on Swalwell's part.

All Signs Suggest Russell Lowe Is Feinstein's Former Staffer Who's Accused Of Being A Chinese Spy
August 8, 2018

y Peter Hasson

– It was reported that Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein employed a Chinese spy.
– Her longtime staffer, Russell Lowe, fits the description of the reported spy.
– Feinstein's office refused to comment on whether Lowe was the spy.

All the details of a former, longtime Sen. Dianne Feinstein staffer who's accused of relaying information to Chinese intelligence services while working for the California Democrat point to Russell Lowe, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has determined.

Daily Caller News FoundationLowe worked for 20 years in Feinstein's San Francisco office, where he was a staff liaison to the Asian-American community before leaving approximately five years ago. All those details match up with the descriptions of the Chinese spy Feinstein reportedly employed.

| - -- -

Longtime San Francisco Bay Area activist Russell Lowe has deep and ongoing involvement with pro-China communist activists and organization

Russell Lowe began working for Dianne Feinstein in approximately 1993. Lowe was not a "driver," as was widely reported, but served officially as "office director" and importantly, as Feinstein's California liaison to the Asian-American community. Lowe, it is now known, even attended events at the Chinese Consulate on behalf of the senator.[1]
Illegal parents

Russell Lowe, office director for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) came to visit Angel Island to pay respect to his father, stepfather, father-in- law. Lowe's family members came to Angel Island in the late 1930's as teenagers and stayed for about a month until they made it to San Francisco with false papers.[2]

On February 23, 2018, Eric Mar, Russell Lowe and Sung Sohn were invited to speak as guest lecturers for the "World War II Memories in the US and Japan" class at University of California, Santa Cruz. They delivered a lecture on issues related to military sexual slaves known as "comfort women."

New Info on Feinstein's Chinese Spy — Media, FBI Complicit in Cover-up
by William F. Jasper August 13, 2018

Big Media continues to ignore Senator Dianne Feinstein's Red China spy bombshell
. No surprise, since it has spiked more than 50 years of Feinstein's support for the Soviet Union and Communist China. Why did Comey let her spy go, and why is Mueller not investigating this?

Where is Russell Lowe? Lowe is the man who has been identified as the spy for Communist China who was on Senator Dianne Feinstein's (D-Calif.) staff for more than two decades. A report by The New American several days ago pointed out that this should be of considerable concern from a national security standpoint, since not only did Senator Feinstein serve as chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (of which she is still a member), but she was a longtime member of the so-called Gang of Eight, the bipartisan group of top members in the House and Senate who are given special briefings by our intelligence agencies and the Executive Branch.
Peter Hasson's article also reproduces a Facebook photo of Russell Lowe posing with China's consul in San Francisco. Lowe is identified not as the senator's driver, but as the "Office Director of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein." A YouTube video of Russell Lowe (see below) published by the Education for Social Justice Foundation on May 4, 2018, is entitled "Comfort Women Sexual Slavery History."

Black Lives Matter: Chinese Communist Party Network
by Trevor Loudon November 12, 2020

Black Lives Matter — the organization, not the slogan — has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). While portraying itself as a spontaneous grassroots movement concerned with addressing racial inequality, it is in reality part of the CCP's undeclared but very real war on the United States of America.

BLM was founded in July 2013 by three young activists — Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi. It has been known for some time that they are all Marxists. What has remained hidden until now are their close ties to CCP networks.

BLM's main connection to the CCP comes through the San Francisco-based Chinese Progressive Association (CPA). Founded in 1972, CPA was the creation of a Maoist communist group I Wor Kuen or "Righteous and Harmonious Fists." Though I Wor Kuen merged into the League of Revolutionary Struggle — which became part of Freedom Road Socialist Organization and is now called Liberation, some of those early activists are still leading CPA today.  For instance, Pam Tau Lee helped found the CPA as an I Wor Kuen/League of Revolutionary Struggle cadre. Today she's a member of Liberation Road front group LeftRoots and serves as chairperson of the CPA board.

In a May 2020 webinar with the Qiao Collective, a militantly pro-CCP group of Chinese-Americans, Alex Tom revealed his close ties to CCP officials: "And we have a relationship with the Chinese embassy.... I've had various conversations with them about our positioning." Comrade Tom went on to say, "We just gotta keep our eyes on the prize ... defending China.... To me the main thing is ... we gotta get rid of Trump." (Emphasis added.)

Both Pam Tau Lee and Alex Tom also work closely with former CPA boss Eric Mar. A one-time supporter of both the League of Revolutionary Struggle and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Eric Mar is strongly pro-China. He has served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and is a vocal supporter of Asians 4 Black Lives and BLM.

Eric Mar also works closely with longtime Bay Area activist Russell Lowe in the Comfort Women Justice Coalition. This noble-sounding group is essentially a pro-CCP propaganda formation. The organization highlights the horrific forced prostitution of Chinese women by Japanese troops before and during World War II. This campaign is designed to drive a wedge between the United States and its ally Japan — to the benefit of the CCP.

Black Lives Matter is influenced and directed by Asians 4 Black Lives, Liberation Road, LeftRoots, and the Chinese Progressive Association. And all four of these overlapping organizations are loyal to the CCP.

While the CCP merciless persecutes its own minorities — religious, ethnic, and political — it purportedly "cares deeply" about U.S. race relations.

The CCP-influenced BLM movement has burned cities all over America and has set race relations back decades. It is effectively a CCP fifth column waging war on American soil. And it's time that Americans, and especially those serving in law enforcement, recognize BLM as such.

Ivanka Trump's children sing to Chinese President Xi Jinping in Mandarin

As President Trump continues dominating headlines, it's actually his grandchildren -- Arabella and Joseph Kushner -- who stole the show over the weekend.

On Friday, Ivanka Trump shared an adorable video of her children performing a traditional folk song in Mandarin for Chinese President Xi Jinping at President Trump's private Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

"Very proud of Arabella and Joseph for their performance in honor of President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan's official visit to the United States," Ivanka Trump captioned the video. "欢迎 (welcome)!"

In the clip, President Xi and his wife, Lady Peng Liyuan, speak with the president and first lady Melania Trump moments before Ivanka Trump appears with 5-year-old Arabella and 3-year-old Joseph Kushner.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan welcomed their US counterparts, Donald and Melania Trump, with afternoon tea at Beijing's Forbidden City on Wednesday. With a tablet computer, Trump showed Xi and Peng video clips of his granddaughter, Arabella Kushner, singing in Mandarin and reciting part of the Three-Character Classic and several ancient Chinese poems. Xi spoke highly of the child's Chinese language skills and said her performance deserves an "A+". Arabella is already a child star in China, said Xi, adding that he hoped she would visit China in the future. Take a look at the whole video of Arabella Kushner's performance!

Ivanka Trump, Arabella's mother and a White House adviser, has said in interviews that her children have a Chinese nanny who teaches them Mandarin.

Kushner pardon revives 'loathsome' tale of tax evasion, sex
JILL COLVIN and COLLEEN LONG, Associated Press
Dec. 24, 2020
Updated: Dec. 25, 2020

FILE - In this March 4, 2005 file photo, Charles B. Kushner, flanked by his wife, Seryl Beth, left, and his attorney Alfred DeCotiis arrives at the Newark Federal Court for sentencing in Newark, N.J.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 issued pardons and sentence commutations for 29 people, including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law, in the latest burst of clemency in his final weeks at the White House.

After Charles Kushner discovered his brother-in-law was cooperating with federal authorities, the wealthy real estate executive and father of President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared, hatched a scheme for revenge and intimidation.

Kushner hired a prostitute to lure his brother-in-law, then arranged to have the encounter in a New Jersey motel room recorded with a hidden camera and the recording sent to his own sister, the man's wife.

The scheme didn't work. Kushner later pleaded guilty to tax evasion and making illegal campaign donations in a case tailor-made for tabloid headlines.

On Wednesday Trump pardoned Kushner as part of a late-hour clemency spree during the final days of his presidency that has included a slew of campaign aides and allies, among them four of the six Trump associates convicted in the Mueller investigation. He has granted clemency to nearly 50 people in the last week.

Norton Mezvinsky (uncle of Chelsea Clinton's husband), is a member of a Lubavitch congregation in New York.

Chabad-Lubavitch, Vladimir Putin and the globalist End Times script (+ a message to the non-Cabalist Jews)

Chelsea Clinton's husband, Marc Mezvinsky......is a Goldman Sachs alum who runs his own hedge fund in New York. The fund is reported to have lost nearly 90% of its investors' money, and his father, Edward Mezvinsky, "embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the Nigerian e-mail scams and was found guilty of fraud in 2001."

And Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner......runs a megadollar real estate holding and development company in New York. "Kushner was thrust into his role at Kushner Companies when his father Charles was arrested on charges of tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering in 2004."

Of these two family mergers with the elite Jews, there is one that is qualitatively superior to the other, and it is that of the Trumps. Chelsea Clinton married a non-orthodox Jew in a non-traditional ceremony which was co-officiated by a Jewish rabbi and a Christian priest, and she has not converted to Judaism. That being the case, some traditionalist Jews have taken exception to the marriage...

[Update – 18 December 2017] – The globalists did not go through with their 2016 plans, and the script changed for 2017 and beyond. It is now clear that Vladimir Putin will play the role of "Moshiach ben David" and Trump will play the role of "Moshiach ben Yosef."

SECRET MILITARY DOCUMENTS: Trudeau invited Chinese troops to train at Canadian military bases
Read the secret "China Files" now!
By Ezra Levant | December 09, 2020

Justin Trudeau invited China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) to send its troops for cold weather training at CFB Petawawa in Ontario — and Trudeau raged at the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) for cancelling the training after China kidnapped Canadian citizens Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.

This is only one of many bombshell revelations in The China Files, a 34-page access to information document released by the Trudeau government to Rebel News, seen below.

Documents that normally would have been completely blacked out by government censors were instead greyed out — the documents remain completely readable.
Rebel News has chosen to black out a very small portion that would otherwise compromise the safety of an individual.

Hong Kong arrests 53 for plot to 'overthrow' government in latest crackdown on dissent
By Yanni Chow and Yoyo Chow 16 hrs ago

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hong Kong police arrested 53 people in dawn raids on democracy activists on Wednesday in the biggest crackdown since China last year imposed a security law which opponents say is aimed at quashing dissent in the former British colony.

Hong Kong's most prominent pro-democracy advocates were arrested in raids on 72 premises as the authorities said last year's unofficial vote to choose opposition candidates in city elections was part of a plan to "overthrow" the government.

The arrests were linked to an unprecedented, independently organised and non-binding vote to select opposition candidates for a since-postponed legislative election.

About 1,000 police took part in the raids, which included searches of the offices of a pollster and a law firm.

"The Chinese Communist Party has further turned the screw in Hong Kong," said Chris Patten, the last British governor of Hong Kong. "Liberal democracies around the world must continue to speak out against the brutal destruction of a free society."

Patten said the West should get tougher with China and scolded the European Commission for seeking a trade deal with Beijing.

"We should not be seeking to contain China but to constrain the Chinese Communist Party," Patten said.

Former Pelosi Staffer Registered as Foreign Agent for Chinese State Media Outlet
By    G. McConway
    August 14, 2020

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi touts herself as being the toughest House member against China.
That is simply not true and never has been.

Not only that, but a new report on the National Pulse also states that a former Pelosi staffer, Brendan Daly, is a registered agent to help promote Chinese media.

While serving as the Executive Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Daly was reportedly "providing strategic counsel, identify relevant parties to communications activities, and media relations to support the launch of CCTV America."

CCTV is the China Central Television Network.

It Now Makes Sense: Pelosi Staffer Is Registered Chinese Media Lobbyist

Many people wondered a few weeks back why Nancy Pelosi continues to make sure that taxpayer money is used to distribute Chinese 'news' propaganda to every congressional representative, and now they know why.
G Walrath   by G Walrath

A few weeks ago, many people wondered why Nancy Pelosi continues to spend taxpayer money in order to have Chinese communist propaganda sent to every member of congress... and now they know why. A staff member of Pelosi's worked very hard to help the CCP propaganda "expand" into American homes.
The memo, sent from Daly, outlines how Ogilvy would provide CCTV with comprehensive support, including "influencer engagement" and "media relations support," to achieve the "overall message that CCTV Americas is the source for business news in and with China, with credentialed, experienced and trusted journalists doing in-depth stories and reporting."

"We are excited about the prospect of working with you to help establish CCTV Americas as the program to watch to succeed in an interconnected global economy," the email concludes.

CCTV has been identified by Freedom House think tank as a "long-standing weapon in Beijing's arsenal of repression" whose mission "is to attack designated enemies of the Communist Party," chiefly the U.S.
Daly served as Communications Director to Pelosi for nearly a decade, from 2002 to 2011. He bills himself as "instrumental in orchestrating Pelosi's rise from House Minority Whip to House Minority Leader," noting he "worked closely with external coalitions on communications activities and events to advance Democratic agenda" and "earned the trust and respect of the Speaker and entire House leadership." He even donated $1,000 to the Pelosi campaign in 2001, as one of his FARA forms reveals.

Now, Daly appears to be exploiting these Pelosi-procured connections to bolster the reach and quality of Chinese communist media operations.

He also served in the Bill Clinton White House as Assistant to the U.S. Trade Office Representative for Public Affairs, where he "led communications efforts with government relations team and external organizations to generate positive press in targeted Congressional districts so Congress would pass Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with China."

China: Tibetan Monk Dies from Beating in Custody
6 Others, Including Boy, Get Up to 5 Years for Distributing Leaflets, Video
January 21, 2021 7:00PM EST

(New York) – Chinese authorities should account for the death of a 19-year-old Tibetan monk recently released from police custody, Human Rights Watch said today. The authorities also should release six other young Tibetans – including a 16-year-old boy – sentenced to up to five years in prison for involvement in the same peaceful protests.

The young monk, Tenzin Nyima (also called Tamay), was from Dza Wonpo monastery, in Wonpo township, Kandze (Ch: Ganzi) prefecture, a Tibetan area within Sichuan province. The authorities initially detained him on November 9, 2019, two days after he and three other Wonpo monks briefly distributed leaflets and shouted slogans calling for Tibetan independence outside the local Wonpo government office. The protests occurred as local officials increasingly put pressure on forcibly resettled nomads and local residents to publicly praise the government's "Poverty Alleviation" program.

"Chinese authorities have once again turned arbitrary detention into a death sentence," said Sophie Richardson, China director at Human Rights Watch. "They should hold to account all those responsible for the brutal killing of the Tibetan monk Tenzin Nyima."

International Outcry After 47 Opposition Figures in Hong Kong Charged Under National Security Law
Frank Fang   Feb 28, 2021

The United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and Taiwan have voiced concern at the Hong Kong government's subversion charges directed at 47 pro-democracy activists under the pro-Beijing national security law on Sunday.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken took to Twitter late on Sunday night to condemn the detentions and charges against the activists, saying that "freedom of expression" should not be a crime.

This is yet another example of how the National Security Law is used to stifle dissent, not improve security," the spokesperson added.

The subversion charge was in connection to participation in an unofficial primary vote held by Hong Kong's pan-democracy camp in July last year, ahead of the Legislative Council (LegCo) elections in September 2020. The objective behind the vote was for the camp to field the most promising candidates to run for legislative office—ultimately with the goal to secure a majority or more than 35 seats in LegCo.

Over 600,000 Hongkongers cast ballots in the primary vote, which were held on July 11 and July 12 last year.

The LegCo elections, initially scheduled for Sept. 6 last year, were eventually postponed by Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam, at that time citing the local surge in CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus infections, which causes the disease COVID-19.

"We continue to call on Beijing to stop undermining Hong Kong's autonomy and democratic processes and to uphold China's obligations under the Sino-British Joint Declaration," the spokesperson concluded.

On Sunday, pro-democracy organization Civil Human Rights Front issued a statement on Facebook urging Hongkongers to queue up for the court hearing the next day to support the 47 activists.

At 10:30 a.m. on Monday, nearly 1,000 locals have shown up outside of the courthouse voicing support, many queueing up for the court hearing. Many chanted "Release all political prisoners" while others gestured five fingers, which represent the five demands including universal suffrage that Hong Kong protesters have been calling for since they took to the streets in mass protests in June 2019.

"The nature of these charges makes clear that legitimate political pluralism will no longer be tolerated in Hong Kong," it wrote. "The EU calls for the immediate release of those arrested."

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) called on the Biden administration to take further action.

"The Biden administration should invoke the sanctioning powers established in the Hong Kong Autonomy Act to hold accountable those responsible for this aggression," Toomey wrote.

Yes Virginia, The Chinese are Communists ...
92 million CCP members run herd over the 1.4 plus billion
They want to run herd over the rest of the world ...

The current population of China is 1,443,070,121 as of Friday, March 5, 2021,

Since his accession in 2012 to the position of general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Xi Jinping has ruled China with dictatorial powers while consistently reaffirming the centrality of communism to the CCP's quest to transform China into the world's most powerful and influential nation.

According to the "South China Morning Post," Xi wrote in an article published this month that "The foundation of China's political economy can only be a Marxist political economy, and not be based on other economic theories." Therefore, "The dominant position of public ownership cannot be shaken, and the leading role of the state-owned economy cannot be shaken."

Xi's opinions reflect party orthodoxy. In 1954 Mao Zedong, founder of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and first CCP chairman, could not have been clearer: "The force at the core that leads our cause is the Chinese Communist Party; the theoretical foundation that guides our thinking is Marxism-Leninism." In accordance with changing circumstances, the CCP has devised, in Xi's words, "socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era." Yet the party remains dedicated to its communist foundations. In 2019, Xi lavishly celebrated the 40th anniversary of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping's announcement of the Four Cardinal Principles: "1) We must keep to the socialist road; 2) We must uphold the dictatorship of the proletariat; 3) We must uphold the leadership of the Communist Party; 4) We must uphold Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought."

Xi has been good to his word. On his watch, the CCP has adhered to 20th century communism's totalitarian fundamentals.

In China, the party is supreme. It absorbs the state. It subordinates the individual to its dictates. It directs the economy. It purges counterrevolutionary forces from its ranks. It ruthlessly controls education, the media, culture, and religion. It maintains massive and brutal internment camps to compel minorities to profess the party's teachings. And it preaches the priority of socialism's battle to overcome capitalism and freedom.

Like communist dictatorships before it, the CCP dedicates vast resources to impose intellectual conformity. The party employs the latest in high-tech tools to maintain the Great Firewall of China, which limits the people's access to websites outside the country. It uses phone scanners to monitor information inside the country and facial-recognition cameras to surveil the population.

At the same time, Xi has revitalized communist ideological indoctrination. "We will work harder to study and develop Marxist theory," he vowed in 2017. "We will foster a Marxist style of learning and make it regular and an institutionalized requirement for all party members."

Calamity Jane December 22, 2020
U.S. State Governors Names on China Communist Party Membership List

Calamity Jane December 22, 2020 Commie Bastards, Crazy Shit, Lies and Deceit, National Security, News, Politicians and Pinheads
U.S. State Governors Names on China Communist Party Membership List

How in the wide world of sports is PA Governor Wolf NOT on this list?
source: Hal Turner Radio Show

A database obtained by computer hackers from China Communist Party computers allegedly reveals the names of more than a DOZEN U.S. State Governors who are reportedly shown in the database as being MEMBERS of China's Communist Party:

The database was originally leaked on Telegram, the encrypted instant messaging app, and passed in September by a Chinese dissident to the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, which comprises more than 150 legislators around the world who are concerned by the influence and activities of the Chinese government. Here is a statement from IPAC about the data:

Detailed analysis by U.S. Intelligence sources say the list is genuine!

The list mostly includes the details of CCP members based in Shanghai, in more than 79,000 branches, or cells. The CCP's total membership currently stands at more than 92 million, with a success rate of around 10 percent for aspiring members.

China Communist Party (CCP) members have infiltrated not only some of the largest corporations of the US, Australia and the UK, but also many consulates and government agencies, giving them access to sensitive and no doubt compromising information that would give the CCP an edge on the world stage.

The same Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that paid DOMINION $400 million through a subsidiary of HSBC, a month or so BEFORE the November 3 election, which may have gotten the CCP the ability to "update" Dominion voting software for the then-upcoming U.S. Presidential Election!

China's infiltration efforts have been vast. Major aerospace companies Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Boeing have employed hundreds of CCP members. Additionally, Pfizer and British drugmaker AstraZeneca (COVID-19 Vaccine developer!) employed a total of 123 Party members. British automaker Jaguar Land Rover also employed CCP members.

Who are the 92 million Chinese Communist Party members?

US media outlets have reported that the White House was considering no longer granting visas to Chinese Communist Party members and their families.

The nearly 92 million members of the party are often blamed for supporting the suppressive policies of its leadership. Now they are increasingly caught up in the tensions between Beijing and other governments.

Who are the Communist Party's members?

The Communist Party of China had 91.9 million members by the end of 2019, accounting for 6% of China's population. (If the party were a country, it would be the 16th most populous in the world.)

Despite the party calling itself a vanguard of the working class, its members represent an elite group of the Chinese population: they are wealthier, better educated and more likely to be male than the average citizen.
Across different industries, many of the top performers are Communist Party members, such as Alibaba founder Jack Ma, leading infectious diseases expert Zhong Nanshan and former Olympic hurdler Liu Xiang. (Alibaba owns Inkstone.)

According to the party's annual report on membership demographics, 72.1% of members at the end of 2019 were men. Two-thirds of the membership were aged 40 or older.

White-collar workers accounted for 15.7% of members. About 11% held managerial positions, and more than 8% worked in the party or the government. Some 34.8% of the members were farmers or blue-collar workers.

The 92.6% of members who were ethnically Han represented a slightly higher proportion than in the national population.

Those willing to join the party need to go through a long, arduous process.

Applicants need to write a letter explaining why they believe in the Communist Party, take written tests on the party constitution, get their political views screened and pass a year's probation before they are admitted as members.

It's widely believed that Communist Party members have an edge in gaining education and work opportunities, especially if they work in the public sector, such as for state-owned companies, schools or hospitals.

What is expected from Communist Party members?

Party members need to join regular ideology study sessions and strengthen their knowledge of President Xi Jinping's philosophy using an app.

Li Wenliang, the Wuhan doctor who was punished for alerting others about the coronavirus outbreak before dying from the virus himself, was a Communist Party member.

Uygur economics professor Ilham Tohti, who had advocated for more autonomy for the Xinjiang region, was also a party member. He was sentenced to life in prison on secession charges in 2014.

Taiwan sees incursions by Chinese air force for two straight days
•Jan 24, 2021

Just a few days after the U.S. President Joe Biden took office, Washington and Beijing are battling in a show of force in the South China Sea.

Following reports by Taiwan of a large incursion by Chinese warplanes for the second straight day - the U.S. called on China to stop the pressure,... while moving aircraft carriers to the region.

China angry: Taiwan Air Force attacked Chinese fighter jets violate Taiwan airspace.

Two Chinese military turboprops entered Taiwan's air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Monday (March 8), marking the fourth such intrusion this month.

The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) sent one Shaanxi Y-8 reconnaissance plane and one Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare plane into the southwest corner of Taiwan's ADIZ, according to the Ministry of National Defense (MND). In response, Taiwan scrambled fighter jets, issued radio warnings, and deployed air defense missile systems to track the aircraft.

The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines said in a statement on March 22 that the reef is a part of China's Nansha Islands and Chinese fishing vessels have been fishing in its adjacent waters for many years. It has been a normal practice for Chinese fishing vessels to take shelter under such circumstances.

Cai Guo-Qiang Makes a 40-Foot-Tall Pine Tree Explode

November 30, 2012, 9:49 PM

Why did the State Department blow up a tree on the Mall today?

In the spirit of diplomacy and Christmas, not necessarily in that order, the U.S. State Department tried to explode a large, coniferous tree today. Actually, it was contemporary Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang who tried to explode it, following a ceremony in which he and four other artists received the U.S. State Department Medal of Arts. ...
Given Cai's penchant for pyrotechnics — this is the same guy who designed the special effects for the opening and closing ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics — viewers would have been justified in expecting a little more firepower. But alas, the explosions were decidedly understated, (perhaps explaining why the National Parks Service approved Cai's application to hold the event in under two weeks.)

Cai Guo-Qiang, (born December 8, 1957, Quanzhou, Fujian province, China), Chinese pyrotechnical artist known for his dramatic installations and for using gunpowder as a medium.

Cai's father—a painter, historian, and bookstore owner—was somewhat ambivalent toward Mao Zedong and the new Chinese society that was emerging after the successful communist revolution. He encouraged his son to read the forbidden Western classics despite his support of Marxist thinking.

In 1995 Cai moved to New York City.
There he continued to make a kind of performance art that The New York Times critic Roberta Smith labeled "gunpowder land art," events recorded on videotape.

In 2008 Cai became the first Chinese artist to ever have a one-man retrospective at New York City's Guggenheim Museum. His show, "I Want to Believe," immediately confronted the viewer with a dramatic installation piece entitled Inopportune: Stage One (2004).

People Who Fall Behind Will Be Beaten
Crisis Management

China's record of 30 years of 10% annual GDP growth creates an illusion of continuity. In fact, its political and economic systems have endured a series of dramatic crises that threatened to undermine or reinvent the China model, but instead, reinforced the boom. "Reform and opening" itself was born out of the CCP's legitimacy crisis following the death of Mao Zedong, and early reforms were justified by the need to rapidly catch up with East Asia's newly industrialized countries. The Tiananmen crisis of 1989 initially triggered state repression, but ultimately led to a renewed burst of marketization and privatization. The East Asian financial crisis of 1997-8 reinforced Bejing's caution about fully opening its financial system, but also spurred even greater foreign trade, and foreign exchange reserve accumulation, in the 2000s. The global downturn of 2008-9 exposed China's structural imbalance, but massive stimulus spending and a cheap currency allowed China to export its way through the downturn, once again giving policy-makers confidence that each crisis was an opportunity to advance the China boom.

CCP Torture Methods: Hanging Up by Handcuffs

(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Fanqin (刘范钦) was handcuffed and hung from a rack at the top of a window, with her toes barely touching the ground. When she was finally taken down after more than 30 hours of sleep deprivation and not being allowed to use the restroom, her arms had already become numb and dislocated. Several local hospitals identified sustained brachial plexus injuries to her arm and shoulder ligaments. They declared her permanently disabled.

Ms. Liu is just one of many Falun Gong practitioners who have, at one time or another, been tortured by being hung up by handcuffs. It is far worse than what is depicted in movies or TV shows, in which the victims have their hands tied with a rope and are hung up.

Hillary Clinton Gave Medal & Cash Award to Chinese Nationalist to Blow Up Christmas Tree As "Art"
Chris Menahan
August 29, 2016

Hillary Clinton gave a medal and a "large cash award" to a far-right Chinese nationalist so he could blow up a Christmas tree in our nation's capital.

Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang was given the State Department's "Medal of Arts" and a "large cash award," reportedly $200,000, by Clinton to create a work of "art" he titled "Black Christmas Tree."

Clinton gave him this medal and cash to blow up a Christian symbol and did so saying it would advance "diplomacy!"

Can you imagine the government of China giving an American a medal and cash for taking a dump on a Chinese dragon in honor of Chinese New Year? (That's what is considered "art" now in America.)

Though the above clip was just released, this happened back in 2012. Here's how Clinton's State Department described the event at the time:

Chinese-born artist Cai Guo-Qiang staged one of his remarkable "explosion events," a thrilling combination of pyrotechnics, artistry and optical illusion in four dimensions Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. The event was presented by the Smithsonian's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and Art in Embassies, an office of the U.S. Department of State, and is in celebration of the Sackler's 25th and Art in Embassies' 50th anniversaries.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on the north side of the Freer Gallery of Art, a live 40-foot-tall pine tree erupted in an effervescent shimmer of fireworks as if in a "tree lighting" ceremony, followed by a cascade of black ink-like smoke that mimics the flowing beauty of traditional Chinese brush drawings. The black tree-shaped cloud of smoke drifting through the air created a spectral scene of two trees, one real and one ethereal. The site-specific staging is part of Cai's larger series of "explosion projects," which have been featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and Central Park in New York City.

Arthur Mitchell Sackler (August 22, 1913 – May 26, 1987) was an American psychiatrist and marketer of pharmaceuticals .

Born in Brooklyn to Isaac and Sophie (née Greenberg) Sackler, Jewish grocers who came to New York from the Ukraine and Poland before World War I, Sackler was the eldest of three sons.
In 1981, Sackler served as vice-chairman of the first international conference on nutrition held in Tianjin, China.[36] He joined the board of directors of Scientific American in 1985.[37] In 1985, Linus Pauling dedicated his book How to Live Longer and Feel Better to him.[38] In 1997, Arthur was posthumously inducted into the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame.[39]

Senator Estes Kefauver's subcommittee examined the pharmaceutical industry in 1959. He felt that Arthur Sackler possessed an "integrated" empire of drug discovery and manufacture, drug marketing and advertising, and medical publications explicitly for promoting drug sales.[8] He stopped investigating Sackler in mid-1960, and went on to sponsor the Kefauver Harris Amendment which improved FDA drug oversight in 1962.[24]

Barry Meier wrote in his book Pain Killer that Sackler, "helped pioneer some of the most controversial and troubling practices in medicine: the showering of favors on doctors, the lavish spending on consultants and experts ready to back a drugmaker's claims, the funding of supposedly independent commercial interest groups, the creation of publications to serve as industry mouthpieces, and the outright exploitation of scientific research for marketing purposes."[52]

Psychiatrist Allen Frances told The New Yorker in 2017, "Most of the questionable practices that propelled the pharmaceutical industry into the scourge it is today can be attributed to Arthur Sackler."

Microsoft Blocks Images Of Tiananmen Square Protests On Massacre Anniversary

Thomas Catenacci
June 04, 2021 5:57 PM ET

Microsoft's search engine Bing appeared to censor images of the protester who stood in front of a Chinese tank during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

A Bing Images search of "tank man" yielded no results and a prompt for the user to check their spelling as of Friday afternoon. However, an identical search on Google Images produced hundreds of results including many of the iconic moment.

The famous "tank man" photo was taken on June 5, 1989, one day after the 1989 massacre in which Chinese troops fired indiscriminately upon civilians demonstrating against the government, killing hundreds. The photo showed a Chinese protester, who has since become known as "tank man," standing in front of a procession of Chinese tanks rolling through Tiananmen Square.

"I'd love to hear [Microsoft President Brad Smith's] explanation on this," Shane Huntley, the director of Google's Threat Analysis Group, tweeted on Friday. "I know Microsoft censor for the [Chinese Communist Party] in China, but this search is from the US."

Other users noted that the "tank man" image search yielded no results in the U.K. as well. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: House Judiciary GOP Slams Microsoft's 'Woke Agenda,' Welcome Hearing With CEO)

"This is due to an accidental human error and we are actively working to resolve this," a Microsoft spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

An images search of "Tiananmen Square" in Bing produced scenic photos of the plaza while the same search produced pictures of the 1989 protests in Google Images as of Friday afternoon. However, a search conducted by the DCNF of "Tiananmen Square massacre" on Bing Images yielded a few photos of the protest.

Bing is the third-largest search engine in China behind the Chinese-owned websites Baidu and Sogou, according to Statista. China has blocked a variety of American websites including Google from operating within its borders, but Bing isn't among those sites, Business Insider reported in 2019.

Microsoft has reportedly censored content for years at the behest of the Chinese government. The company has complied with the government's authoritarian rules, which ban content that mentions the Tiananmen Square massacre, Taiwan being its own sovereign nation and the Dalai Lama on both Bing and LinkedIn, according to Wired, The Guardian and Business Insider.

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily on Friday increased its print run to 500,000 copies as residents showed support for the beleaguered press freedom a day after police arrested five top editors and executives and froze $2.3 million worth of assets under the national security law.

The raid on the paper's offices followed by the arrests on Thursday marked the first time the sweeping national security law, which Beijing imposed on Hong Kong last year, was used against the media, one of the symbols of civil liberties in the semi-autonomous city that don't exist elsewhere in China.

Inside was the first hearing for two executives of pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily charged under the city's sweeping national security law.

Some were holding yellow umbrellas, a symbol from the 'Umbrella Movement'
in 2014 that called for democracy and universal suffrage.

Editor-in-chief Ryan Law, and CEO Cheung Kim-hung, were among five Apple Daily executives arrested on Thursday when 500 police raided the outlet's newsroom.
They are charged with collusion with a foreign power to endanger national security, and were denied bail. The other three were released on bail late Friday night.

Police said dozens of the newspaper's articles were suspected of violating the contentious national security law. It was the first time media articles have been cited as potentially falling foul of the legislation.

The case has drawn international criticism and raised alarm over press freedom.

China took another step toward extinguishing any form of dissent in Hong Kong, hailing police in the city for arresting top editors of a pro-democracy newspaper and warning journalists not to write articles that challenge Beijing.

On Thursday morning, roughly 500 police officers descended on the headquarters of the popular Apple Daily newspaper for the second time in 12 months after accusing its leaders of violating a national security law imposed last year. They arrested three top editors and two senior executives of the tabloid owned by Next Digital Ltd founder and democracy activist Jimmy Lai, a fierce critic of Beijing who is currently serving more than year in prison for attending unauthorized protests.

"Freedom of the press is not a 'shield' for illegal activities," the Chinese government's Liaison Office said
in a statement. "No matter what kind of professional status and background they have, no matter what kind of support they have behind them, anyone who violates the Hong Kong National Security Law and relevant laws will be severely punished by the law."

Urgent Warning to the World Again ——
Miles Guo's Broadcasting on June 20, 2021

Today is June 20, before noon, me, Miles Guo to all my friends here in the United States, and all my friends in Europe and around the world, who support the Whistleblower's Movement and the New Federal State of China. I would like to issue an emergency warning here, and what I say does not make any guarantee or be responsible for this.

... the core intelligence I want to tell everyone, based on accurate intelligence.

The CCP is going to release the virus in the United States and Europe during the changing of the season between summer and autumn this year.

No. 2:

The virus that is going to get released will be the most detrimental. We have accurate intelligence sources, that the CCP is very clear that millions of people died because of the covid-19, and hundred million people got infected.

After the G7 meeting in the West, the world will demand the truth from them, the CCP knows that the truth will eventually be found out. Political entanglement and political bribery and threats may already be ineffective. They only have two choices, once they get threatened to reveal the truth, they will invade Taiwan. So now they have made a series of military and political steps. The internal meeting made a clear decision. As long as the West uses a large number of economic sanctions or even threatens to launch a war, the CCP will use this biological and chemical weapon. Use it to the fullest. Quota from a top leader of the CCP: "Since this weapon was created for Americans and whites, we should send it to the United States. We have used it very successfully in India, and we should make it more advanced in the United States and Europe. Execute and no scruples. Let the enemy be afraid of us, take them down!"

The CCP has done such a role in the past. I hope that when all the elites in the West see and hear this information, you can do a good job of prevention and protection. At the same time, the highest level decided that after the virus was released, the world is looking for the truth, when the CCP can't resolve it, they will launch a war and take down Taiwan. When the whole world focuses on Taiwan affairs, Instead of the virus origin, the CCP will enter a state of war with the western world to divert attention and cover up the covid origin. After then, the international relations of war are ultimately used in exchange for politics and economy to achieve a solution.

So what has China been doing now?

Today I represent the New Federal State of China, the Whistleblower's Movement, announce to all the peace-loving people from all over the world.

Pay attention to the past four weeks. All the 300,000 Hong Kong residents living in the United States and the 180,000 to 220,000 settlers in the mainland are being conducted by the CCP, using the National Security Committee to send thousands of people to conduct data and reports.

It is even more important to warn the Western world. The CCP has not only biological weapons but also very advanced chemical weapons. When people talk about biological and chemical weapons, they think those weapons are very difficult to control and hard to release. However, just look at this coronavirus, it was easily spread all over the globe. The spread of biochemical weapons is very easy, and it is also very easy to create. This is extremely dangerous. Many people think that chemical weapons can only be sent to the so-called target area with missiles and carriers. This is wrong. The CCP already has chemical weapons that are silent and colorless and easy to release, and most of these biological and chemical weapons come from the U.S technology. This is detrimental to the whole world.

The CCP has already deployed all water and electricity facilities in these G7 countries in the West, as well as important natural wind control areas, and planned chemical attacks. Therefore, when the whole world wants to investigate the truth of coronavirus, the CCP will release a new bio-chemical weapon. Governments from around the globe must pay high attention to that.

Then the western world has given the CCP 70 years, nearly a hundred years of opportunity, to bring democracy, rule of law and freedom to the Chinese people and bring peace to the world. The Sino-British agreement on Hong Kong, Sino-US relations, WTO, Sino-European relations, trade relations, and scientific and technological relations, within the past 70 years and 100 years of history have the best answers. Anyone who has any hope for the Chinese Communist Party has collusion, has cooperation, or thinks that CCP can still represent the Chinese people, you will pay for it. Because the CCP has shown you who they are from the coronavirus, Hong Kong, Taiwan,  Xinjiang, and Tibet, giving you the best answer. Any delusion will cause irreparable losses, which is a huge crime. The New Federal State of China and the Whistleblower's Movement will never compromise with fear under any circumstances.

We will stand with the Western Civil Society until the day when the CCP is eliminated.

Special Report: China's gene giant harvests data from millions of women

(Reuters) - A Chinese gene company selling prenatal tests around the world developed them in collaboration with the country's military and is using them to collect genetic data from millions of women for sweeping research on the traits of populations, a Reuters review of scientific papers and company statements found.

U.S. government advisors warned in March that a vast bank of genomic data that the company, BGI Group, is amassing and analysing with artificial intelligence could give China a path to economic and military advantage. As science pinpoints new links between genes and human traits, access to the biggest, most diverse set of human genomes is a strategic edge. The technology could propel China to dominate global pharmaceuticals, and also potentially lead to genetically enhanced soldiers, or engineered pathogens to target the U.S. population or food supply, the advisors said.

Reuters has found that BGI's prenatal test, one of the most popular in the world, is a source of genetic data for the company, which has worked with the Chinese military to improve "population quality" and on genetic research to combat hearing loss and altitude sickness in soldiers.

BGI says it stores and re-analyses left-over blood samples and genetic data from the prenatal tests, sold in at least 52 countries to detect abnormalities such as Down's syndrome in the foetus. The tests – branded NIFTY for "Non-Invasive Fetal TrisomY" – also capture genetic information about the mother, as well as personal details such as her country, height and weight, but not her name, BGI computer code viewed by Reuters shows.

So far, more than 8 million women have taken BGI's prenatal tests globally. BGI has not said how many of the women took the test abroad, and said it only stores location data on women in mainland China.

The women, who signed consent forms stating that their genetic data would be stored and used for research, said they did not realise their genetic information could end up in China. For example, one of them, a 32-year-old office administrator in Poland, signed a BGI form agreeing to have her sample sent to Hong Kong and her genetic data retained, but the form did not say where it would be held, or make clear that BGI's headquarters and research base are in Shenzhen.

China's collection and analysis of the DNA of its Uyghur Muslim population – including systematic collections of samples from residents in Xinjiang – has drawn sharp criticism. The United States sanctioned two BGI subsidiaries last year for what it called China's "abusive DNA collection and analysis schemes to repress its citizens." BGI denied it was involved in any human rights abuses in Xinjiang. China's foreign ministry said health check-ups of Uyghurs there did not collect biological information such as DNA.

China's New BSL-4 Lab Plans 10729_lores
The Chinese mainland is hoping to see the construction of at least five BSL-4 labs by 2025. A laboratory in Wuhan is currently in the accreditation and clearance phase to work with the most deadly pathogens we face. While many celebrate the building  of this new lab, others are concerned about the biosafety and biosecurity risks. The increase in biodefense labs and programs has created several trade-offs for work with such high-risk pathogens.  Each new lab presents a new risk – for both biosafety failures and biosecurity failures. Biosafety failures are already plaguing U.S. labs – will this be the case with China's labs? "The Wuhan lab cost 300 million yuan (US$44 million), and to allay safety concerns it was built far above the flood plain and with the capacity to withstand a magnitude-7 earthquake, although the area has no history of strong earthquakes. It will focus on the control of emerging diseases, store purified viruses and act as a World Health Organization 'reference laboratory' linked to similar labs around the world."

Skeptics have pointed to several escapes of SARS from a high-level containment facility in Beijing. Several biosafety and biosecurity experts are highlighting the need for transparency and an open and responsible culture. Addressing issues with staff at all levels and opening the floor for an honest and frank discussion regarding concerns from those working in the environment is vital to addressing the issues that may not be seen at a higher level.

In 1993 Chi became a state council member and the Minister of National Defense until 2003. He was also the director of the Law of National Defense Draft Commission. He was elected to be vice chairman of the central military commission of the CPC in September 1995, and CMC of the state in December that year. On 19 October 1999, after meeting with Syrian Defence Minister Mustafa Tlass in Damascus, Syria, to discuss expanding military ties between China and Syria, Chi then flew directly to Israel and met with Ehud Barak, the then prime minister and Defence Minister of Israel where they discussed military relations. Among the military arrangements, was a 1 billion dollar Israeli Russian sale of military aircraft to China, which were to be jointly produced by Russia and Israel.[1]

The Secret Speech of General Chi Haotian

In 2005, The Epoch Times acquired a secret speech given by Defense Minister Chi Haotian to high-level Communist Party Cadres sometime before his retirement in 2003. Details given in Chi's speech coincide with previously unpublished defector testimony on Sino-Russian military plans.

The purpose of the CCP Central Committee in conducting this survey is to probe people's minds. We wanted to know: If China's global development will necessitate massive deaths in enemy countries, will our people endorse that scenario? Will they be for or against it?
Hitler's Germany had once bragged that the German race was the most superior race on earth, but the fact is, our nation is far superior to the Germans.

Therefore, if we refer to the 19th century as the British century, and the 20th century as the American century, then the 21st century will be the Chinese century.
When we decide to revitalize based on the German model, we must not repeat the mistakes they made.

So, the fundamental reason for the defeats of Germany and Japan is that history did not arrange them to be the "lords of the earth," for they are, after all, not the most superior race.

Our Chinese people are wiser than the Germans because, fundamentally, our race is superior to theirs.
What makes us different from Germany is that we are complete atheists, while Germany was primarily a Catholic and Protestant country. Hitler was only half atheist

The bottom line is, only China is a reliable force in resisting the Western parliament-based democratic system.
But the term 'living space' (lebensraum) is too closely related to Nazi Germany. The reason we don't want to discuss this too openly is to avoid the West's association of us with Nazi Germany, which could in turn reinforce the view that China is a threat.
To solve this problem, we must lead the Chinese people outside of China, so that they could develop outside of China.
Everyone knows that without the leadership of our Party, China would not exist today. Therefore, our highest principle is to forever protect our Party's leadership position
After the June 4 riot was suppressed, we have been thinking about how to prevent China from peaceful evolution and how to maintain the Communist Party's leadership.

Therefore, since then, our national defence policy has taken a 180 degree turn and we have since emphasized more and more "combining peace and war.
Fourth, China's great economic expansion will inevitably lead to the shrinkage of per-capita living space for the Chinese people, and this will encourage China to turn outward in search for new living space.
Would the United States allow us to go out to gain new living space? First, if the United States is firm in blocking us, it is hard for us to do anything significant to Taiwan, Vietnam, India, or even Japan, [so] how much more living space can we get? Very trivial! Only countries like the United States, Canada and Australia have the vast land to serve our need for mass colonization.

Therefore, solving the "issue of America" is the key to solving all other issues. First, this makes it possible for us to have many people migrate there and even establish another China under the same leadership of the CCP.
It is historical destiny that China and the United States will come to unavoidable confrontation on a narrow path and fight each other! The United States, unlike Russia and Japan, has never occupied and hurt China, and also assisted China in its battle against the Japanese. But, it will certainly be an obstruction, and the biggest obstruction! In the long run, the relationship of China and the United States is one of a life-and-death struggle.
Only by using special means to "clean up" America will we be able to lead the Chinese people there. This is the only choice left for us. This is not a matter of whether we are willing to do it or not. What kind of special means is there available for us to "clean up America"?
Conventional weapons such as fighters, canons, missiles and battleships won't do; neither will highly destructive weapons such as nuclear weapons. We are not as foolish as to want to perish together with America by using nuclear weapons, despite the fact that we have been exclaiming that we will have the Taiwan issue resolved at whatever cost.

Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves.

There has been rapid development of modern biological technology, and new bio-weapons have been invented one after another. Of course, we have not been idle,

in the past years we have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind. We are capable of achieving our purpose of "cleaning up" America all of a sudden. When Comrade Xiaoping was still with us, the Party Central Committee had the perspicacity to make the right decision not to develop aircraft carrier groups and focus instead on developing lethal weapons that can eliminate mass populations of the enemy country.
Biological weapons are unprecedented in their ruthlessness, but if the Americans do not die then the Chinese have to die.

If the Chinese people are strapped to the present land, a total societal collapse is bound to take place. According to the computation of the author of Yellow Peril, more than half of the Chinese will die, and that figure would be more than 800 million people! Just after the liberation, our yellow land supported nearly 500 million people, while today the official figure of the population is more than 1.3 billion. This yellow land has reached the limit of its capacity. One day, who knows how soon it will come, the great collapse will occur any time and more than half the population will have to go.

We must prepare ourselves for two scenarios. If our biological weapons succeed in the surprise attack, the Chinese people will be able to keep their losses at a minimum in the fight against the United States.

If, however, the attack fails and triggers a nuclear retaliation from the United States, China would perhaps suffer a catastrophe in which more than half of its population would perish.

That is why we need to be ready with air defense systems for our big and medium-sized cities. Whatever the case may be, we can only move forward fearlessly, for the sake of our Party and State and our nation's future, regardless of the hardships we have to face and the sacrifices we have to make. The population, even if more than half dies, can be reproduced. But if the Party falls, everything is gone, and forever gone.
What about the several millions of our compatriots in the United States? They may ask: aren't we against Chinese killing other Chinese?

These comrades are too pedantic; they are not pragmatic enough. If we had insisted on the principle that the Chinese should not kill other Chinese, would we have liberated China? As for the several million Chinese living in the United States, this is of course a big issue. Therefore, in recent years, we have been conducting research on genetic weapons, i.e., those weapons that do not kill yellow people. But producing a result with this kind of research is extremely difficult.

Of the research done on genetic weapons throughout the world, Israel is the most advanced. Their genetic weapons are designed to target Arabs and protect the Israelis. But even they have not reached the stage of actual deployment. We have cooperated with Israel on some research. Perhaps we can introduce some of the technologies used to protect Israelis and remold these technologies to protect the yellow people. But their technologies are not mature yet, and it is difficult for us to surpass them in a few years. If it has to be five or ten years before some breakthrough can be achieved in genetic weapons, we cannot afford to wait any longer.

Therefore, we have to give up our expectations about genetic weapons. Of course, from another perspective, the majority of those Chinese living in the United States have become our burden, because they have been corrupted by the bourgeois liberal values for a long time and it would be difficult for them to accept our Party's leadership.

If they survived the war, we would have to launch campaigns in the future to deal with them, to reform them. Do you still remember that when we had just defeated the Koumintang (KMT) and liberated Mainland China, so many people from the bourgeois class and intellectuals welcomed us so very warmly, but later we had to launch campaigns such as the "suppression of the reactionaries" and "Anti-Rightist Movement" to clean them up and reform them?

Some of them were in hiding for a long time and were not exposed until the Cultural Revolution. History has proved that any social turmoil is likely to involve many deaths.
During wartime, we were used to seeing dead people. Blood and flesh were flying everywhere, corpses were lying in heaps on the fields, and blood ran like rivers. We saw it all. On the battlefields, everybody's eyes turned red with killing because it was a life-and-death struggle and only the brave would survive.

It is indeed brutal to kill one or two hundred million Americans. But that is the only path that will secure a Chinese century in which the CCP leads the world.

We, as revolutionary humanitarians, do not want deaths. But if history confronts us with a choice between deaths of Chinese and those of Americans, we'd have to pick the latter, as, for us, it is more important to safeguard the lives of the Chinese people and the life of our Party. That is because, after all, we are Chinese and members of the CCP. Since the day we joined the CCP, the Party, life has always been above all else! History will prove that we made the right choice.

Now, it seems like we are in the same critical period as the "horses were drinking water" in the Yangtze River days in the revolutionary era, as long as we resolve the United States problem at one blow, our domestic problems will all be readily solved.

Therefore, our military battle preparation appears to aim at Taiwan but in fact is aimed at the United States, and the preparation is far beyond the scope of attacking aircraft carriers or satellites.

Marxism pointed out that violence is the midwife for the birth of China's century. As war approaches, I am full of hope for our next generation.

China unable to update to Windows 11 due to foreign TPM chip ban
By Tony Polanco 18 days ago

Windows 11 is now available to the public. Unfortunately, Microsoft's latest operating system has strict requirements that PCs have to meet in order to qualify for the upgrade. Chief among these requirements is TPM 2.0 support. This is the main reason some (myself included) are unable to update to Windows 11. However, there are workarounds for the TPM check, both legitimate and potentially risky. Circumventing the TPM check isn't difficult for most users around the world. But for many Chinese citizens, it's currently impossible to update to Windows 11 due to their country's ban on foreign TPM chips.

The ban dates back to 1999, when China banned foreign TPM chips over national security concerns. This is related to China and the United States' ongoing chipmaking war. Without the foreign-made TPM chips Microsoft requires to update to Windows 11, Chinese users cannot update their operating systems.

Windows is the most popular operating system in China. Despite that, Microsoft has never drawn a significant portion of its revenue from the country.

In January 2020, the Redmond-based software giant only drew 2% of its annual revenue ($2 billion) from China.

Software piracy is the main reason why Microsoft doesn't pull more money from the world's largest PC userbase.

Microsoft won't lose much revenue if Chinese users can't update to Windows 11 so it may not bother addressing the issue, chip ban notwithstanding.

Democracy campaigners barely visible in Hong Kong poll
Updated / Sunday, 19 Dec 2021 07:00

Elections are taking place in Hong Kong for its Legislative Council today, but they will not be the once-hoped-for chance for the democratic movement there to demonstrate its popularity.

Instead of being out campaigning, many of those who wanted to see a loosening of China's grip on the city are either in prison awaiting trial, keeping quiet out of fear or have been forced to flee.

The elections are the first in Hong Kong since the introduction of a controversial national security law in July 2020, which followed more than a year of civil unrest.

"They're basically just weeding out political opposition and silencing the media."

Hong Kong's chief executive Carrie Lam said the electoral system has been changed to ensure "patriots administer Hong Kong."

Supporters of the law say it has restored order and improved prospects for the city's economy but critics say it has stamped out any opposition.

"The impact has been quite severe, given the fact that using this vague definition of national security can be used as a pretext to restrict freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, association and certainly the right to a fair trial," Kyle Ward, the Deputy Secretary General of Amnesty International told RTÉ.
Ireland's former Justice Minister, barrister and Independent Senator Michael McDowell has branded the election a "sham" and called for the Irish government to be more vocal in its criticism of human rights abuses in Hong Kong and across mainland China.

Mr McDowell said the new electoral rules were a "clear breach" of the agreement reached between Britain and China, under which there was to have been a 50 year time span where Hong Kong had its own political culture, under the "one country, two systems" formula.

That 50-year period officially runs out in 2047, but Senator McDowell said that, in reality, this has happened already.

"What they are facing now is the totalitarian Communist Party of China publicly reneging on that view and holding a sham election," he said.

The senator said there was no point in Ireland holding a seat on the UN Security Council unless it raised its voice on these issues.

Another Hong Kong pro-democracy news outlet shuts down after a police raid and arrests

By Wayne Chang, Nectar Gan, Jadyn Sham and Teele Rebane, CNN Business

Hong Kong (CNN Business)Hong Kong pro-democracy media outlet Stand News has shut down after national security police raided its office and arrested seven people associated with the publication on Wednesday. It's yet another blow to diminishing press freedoms in the city.
The independent news website announced on its Facebook page that it has ceased operations and dismissed all employees, effective immediately. The statement said that Stand News will immediately stop updating its website and social media accounts, which will be removed within days.
That announcement comes after police arrested several current and former senior staff members associated with the publication, including pop star Denise Ho.

At a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Steve Li Kwai-wah, senior superintendent of the Hong Kong police's National Security Department, said that the arrests were connected to multiple "seditious" articles published by the outlet between July 2020 and November 2021.

A turbulent year for the press

The arrests come at the end of a turbulent year for press freedoms in Hong Kong, which dubs itself "Asia's World City" and once prided itself on being the region's preeminent international media hub.

The city's once vibrant media landscape has withered since Beijing imposed a sweeping National Security Law on the city in 2020, which led to the shuttering of the fiercely outspoken pro-democracy outlet Apple Daily earlier this year.

"Anybody who attempts to make use of media work as a tool to pursue their political purpose or other interest contravenes the law
, particularly offenses that endanger national security," Hong Kong Chief Secretary John Lee said when asked by reporters about the arrests at an unrelated press event.
"They are the evil elements that damage press freedom. Professional media workers should recognize that these are the bad apples who are abusing their position simply by wearing a false coat of media worker," Lee added.

Hong Kong's famous Tiananmen Square 'Pillar of Shame' statue removed from university
Updated 23rd December 2021

For more than 20 years the "Pillar of Shame" sculpture stood as a memorial to the victims of the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, in which the Chinese military crushed protests led by college students in Beijing with deadly force.
Atop a podium in the University of Hong Kong's (HKU) campus, the 26-foot-tall (8 meter) statue of contorted human torsos was one of the last iconic memorials to victims of the bloody crackdown remaining on Hong Kong soil.
But around midnight on Thursday, yellow construction barriers were erected around the statue and the sounds of cracking and demolition were heard as the sculpture was removed under the cover of darkness.
Images taken during the removal process show workers wrapping the statue in protective film and lifting it out of the campus on a crane in two distinct parts. The HKU Council, the university's governing body, said in a statement the sculpture will be held in storage.

A witness said Thursday morning the site of the sculpture is now empty and students have been seen crying on campus following the removal.

CNN agreed to not disclose the name of this witness because the person feared retribution from authorities.

Attempts to commemorate the events of June 4 have also been adversely impacted.
The last two Tiananmen vigils have been banned by police, citing coronavirus restrictions. Prominent activists, including Joshua Wong and media tycoon Jimmy Lai, were later jailed for participating in an unauthorized public commemoration in 2020.

A Hong Kong museum dedicated to the victims of June 4 was forced to close earlier this year and moved its entire collection online citing "political oppression."
And on Friday, two more Tiananmen Square crackdown memorials were also removed from Hong Kong campuses.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong took down a "Goddess of Democracy" statue, stating it never authorized the display in the first place. The original figure was built out of papier-mâché by student protesters at Tiananmen Square in May 1989. A bronze replica was created by China-born New Zealand artist Chen Weiming and brought to the CUHK campus in 2010.

Lingnan University similarly removed a relief by the same artist, saying it "may pose legal and safety risks to the University community."

Hong Kong marks Tiananmen massacre for what many fear will be the last time

Hong Kong (CNN) When protests broke out in Beijing and other cities across China in early 1989, many in Hong Kong were exhilarated.

"It was a time of hope," said Lee Cheuk-yan, a veteran activist and former Hong Kong lawmaker. At that time, the city was eight years out from being handed over from British to Chinese control, and there was a sense that the young protesters across the border could be changing China for the better.

"For many Hong Kongers, we felt that 1997 was really hanging over our heads. But young people in China were demanding democracy, and we thought if they make it, it means Hong Kong will not have to live under an authoritarian regime."

That hope became despair, however, as the People's Liberation Army crushed the protests on June 4. No official death toll has ever been released, but rights groups estimate hundreds, if not thousands were killed. The Tiananmen protests and the crackdown have been wiped from the history books in China, censored and controlled, organizers exiled or arrested, and the relatives of those who died kept under tight surveillance.
